Why isn't this working at CHR? Seems to have all the right elements to be a successful summer rock crossover hit. And Coldplay IS working??!! Wassup?

one of my local CHRs is playing Pork and Beans, but they aren't a very good example.

DavidEduardo can explain this just like I can: the song does not test well

Was it ever given a good enough chance anywhere to properly test? My CHR isn't playing it but I personally know a bunch of people in the demo who love the song.

Pork and Beans didnt work for us,,, I like the song, but it didnt test well. Coldplay is doing very good for us. We also have a handful of CHR Dance songs that are doing fair to good,,,,,, I have no idea why Pork and Beans didnt work, I wish it had of.

I'd agree on the Saving Abel track. They sound very Hinder-ish, and the crowd that is into that song is the same crowd that loved Lips Of An Angel when it came out.

I can see it going top 15, maybe even top 10 if given the chance. It's a great rock track for CHR.

I'll check out the Saving Abel for sure. Speaking of Hinder, any early thoughts on Use Me? It's quite a bit heavier than Lips, but it could work in a retro kind of way (has that classic hair band sound the kids seem to dig nowadays). It's on rock radio now but KJ103 is on it (keeping in mind they're from OKC).
