Porky Chadwick and 106.3

One of radio's great legendary doo-wop jocks from way back is supposedly moving from Pittsburgh to Tarpon Springs. If true, could "True Oldies 106.3" make a space? Bet he is still great. I also notice that they have other personalities beside Scott Shannon . Are they really "live"? or Memorex?
 
To my knowledge he's not in the best of health, so I'm not sure there's radio in his future. He's got to be well into his 80's.
 
106.3 throws a couple of the old WGUL jox on to do the dog and pony shows from furniture stores, car lots, clinics etc...I think theres a doo wop show or two off peak hours...otherwise its All Shannon, All The Time.

And as I understand, a recent "send off" for Mr Chadwick in Pittsburgh was for his retirement here in Florida...though, hey..if he could pull it off, get him in front of a microphone!
 
Porky Chedwick Turned 90 years old in Feb., He is on the air the first saturday of the month on 770 WKFB Jennette Pa. outside of Pgh. [Noon -3:00pm ] He still does many Record hops and Personal apperances in the Area. He Stated in an interview he would like to do some radio work in FLA.
 
Porky on the air in Tampa! I could buy a 57 Chevy, saddle shoes, Marlboro's, and cruise the strip ! Golly! Just like being back in Pittsburgh when I was actually young!
 
That's not even the best part... in his prime in Pittsburgh he was "Pork the Tork, the Daddio of the Raddio, your platter-pushin' papa..."

Great stuff.....
