Porn Ads on WBRU

A little before 5 PM today Friday, WBRU was running ads for Adult Movies at Amazing Express. I can't remember a mainstream station running ads for porn in the middle of afternoon drive. A college station to boot! It was actually kind of cool, but that's just because I'm a perv ;)

Must be an alternative rock station thing, here in Boston on WFNX, they've been airing ads for "1-800-FREESEX". When I first heard it, thought it was a joke, but it's 100% serious. It even says "it doesn't have to be just men seeking women, it can also be men seeking men and women seeking women." I've heard it as early as 7pm. Hey, gotta pay the bills right? :p

Yeah I'm used to hearing stuff like this on Satellite radio. So I'm pretty much desensitized to hearing such things on air. It takes a lot to shock me. I was just caught off guard since the commercial was aired on a college station during afternoon drive.

That's nothing. In Monroe, LA, the country station that airs the family-friendly "Moby in the Morning" runs adds for an adult shop called "X-Mart" - not very graphic, but if you listen closely, you can figure out some of the innuendo.

(I've already quoted my post just in case Skynet74 wants to reply - even though there are no posts separating it... ;) )

Hey DJ. How bout The King of Brokered Disco Music on 92.1 in Vineland, NJ He has those ads for Carnival Books during his show at 7PM on Fridays. They don't even mention in the ad that their an "X-Rated" store.

RJ now has a new bookstore sponsor for his show - Fantasy Books, run by a guy named Victor who appears on his show predicting the outcome of Phillies and Eagles games. RJ actually calls him "Victor the Predictor"! A bit tacky, but it works.

Are they really "porn" advertisements? I mean, I listened to BRU for a while the other day and heard an ad for some kinky novelty shop--not the Amazing Superstore, but I assume something like it. Let's not forget those "Legs and Eggs" adds for the Foxy Lady that the late Dr. Metal did back in the day.

And by the way, what's with the 8-minute stopsets on WBRU? They run more commercials on a Providence college station than they do on WBZ Boston!

Well it was a commercial that the DJ was doing for Adult movies. She kept on mentioning the great discount on Adult Movies at Amazing Express. So yeah.. I guess that would techically qualify as Porn. I've been to that store. So I'm confident that it is Porn. lol

Skynet... I pegged you as a perv!

ding ding ding ding. Thank you :) But seriously... I like the same things that most guys like. Porn and babes. I won't cheat on my girlfriend though. I'm to loyal. Some girl recently tried to get me to do things with her. I went and stopped her. I have a guilty conscience that stops me from going over the line. What a boring pervert I make. My girl and I have been to WBRU's sponsor "Amazing Express" though. Great place for pervs like me and even for those of you who may be even more perverted than myself. I highly recommend it. ;D
