A little late I know, but I did get two catches that I previously had trouble holding onto but was able to listen long enough to ID them.
94.1: CKEC New Glasgow, NS (ECFM) - I would get this a lot when it used to be on AM 1320
98.9: CJFX Antigonish, NS (XFM) - I would get this a lot when it used to be on AM 580 (when I had that frequency on, I was hearing “I Got You” by Split Enz)
And although I didn’t tune in long enough to find out, I think I also got CHLQ 93.1 from Charlottetown, PEI (Magic 93).
Most of the time, the frequencies in the high 80s and most 90s are dominated by bleeding caused by CBC’s radio transmitter, which overlooks a good part of the town. (If CBC is off the air, VOAR dominates with the bleeding. If both are off, then nothing occurs.)
On some previous occasions, I'd also receive CJFX's repeater on 102.5.
I used my Sony Walkman (with cassette deck, never used these days) to pick these stations up. Weather was quite warm and wonderful when I picked them up.
