Port forwarding problem

Hi All.I've been having a problem with my Netgear router with shoutcast server.I tried some of the ideas I found online but no prevail.has anyone on here have that same problem,My setup is four wired computers pluged into the Netgear Router.one will stream to shoutcast.
I'm getting an error Nak.cannot see you.

After you port forward your rotuer you need to make sure that you disable all your firewalls,,, Make sure to got t o CAN YOU SEE ME,, Opwn Port Checker to see if Port 80 is open before you fire up,, ... Its easier to just keep your safe defualt security settings and purchase a dedicated server online.

I'm not having luck with this Netgear router,I might dump it for another brand.I went to the Netgears forums and they mentioned portforward.com also download PFPortChecker plus Portforward Setup Static IP Address thingy which i have no clue how to run it. I did run PFPortChecker .according to this my ports are open.the shoutcast server still not work.

Netgear routers will work fine. Basic steps:

1) Check your upstream bandwidth. No point hosting a server yourself and going through the pain of network config if you don't have the pipe to deliver buffer-free streams.

2) If you have Windows Firewall on the Shoutcast PC, turn it off. Your hardware firewall will do that job just fine.

3) Evaluate your setup. If you have DSL, you may have TWO routers. (Double NAT). Ports may need to be forwarded on both devices. That gets complicated, but essentially you forward ports on the DSL to the WAN address of the Netgear, and then 8000 on the Netgear to your Shoutcast PC's Private IP

4) Once you've completed steps 1-3, test the setup... this will help.

Thank .I've been over on the Shoutcast forums and did not go anywhere.I'm about to throw in the towel and unplug the router and use the standard modem setup. Now If I using Shoutcast 2 Should I try Shoutcast 1?

I tried SC2 for awhile it was a pure abortion... SC1.x much better in opinion....

Next question is why are you dead set on running the SC server yourself, bandwidth becomes a huge issue if your station is at all popular and quality suffers very quickly from the lack of a good pipe....

Specially when you can get a rock solid and reliable host for very little money and a lot less headache....
