Portland Loves Perry

How many other television markets have there been where Perry was on the air for a long time?

I know WPIX in New York was the de facto "Perry Mason" channel from the point when the show was first syndicated in 1966 well into the 1980's.

After a long run on WSB which ended in 1973, Ted
Turner picked up "Perry Mason" and aired it on TBS
into the '90s, IIRC.

KDOC Anaheim-Los Angeles has aired Perry Mason every Weekday at noon for at least the last 20-plus years. For awhile, several years ago, KTTV would air Perry Mason (concurrently with KDOC) most overnights. KCAL, for years, aired the made-for-TV movies every Saturday night.

I'm not old enough to remember, but I can't recall aired Mason reruns locally prior to KDOC.

KAYU, channel 28, in Spokane carried "Perry Mason" weekdays as 12 noon when they launched in 1982, and has been continued carrying it in most of the years since. It's generally ran at lunchtime or in the very early afternoon -- and is, in fact, back at 12 noon again.

So that's most of 26 years.
