Portland Move-ins

97.9, which holds a construction permit for a Class A, is still in the application stage for a C2. They were previously on the FCC's blocked list but have been moved to the unblocked list. 96.3 has a construction permit for a C3 with a null to the south, protecting KZEL 96.1 Eugene. They applied for non-directional operation by having KZEL reclassified to Class C0 but KZEL applied to exceed minimum Class C facilities and their application was granted thus denying 96.3's application.

Is 96.5/Warm Springs still on-the-air? I noticed Horizon has been granted a CP to move 95.1/Prineville to Bend and retain it's C1 status, albeit directional to protect 95.5/Portland.

I assume this will be their "replacement" for 96.5, once it goes dark (?)

Here's a 97.9 update: KNRQ received a construction permit to move to Portland's west hills, licensed to Tualatin. They have applied to modify to a Class C1 with 10kw, from the same location as the CP. That's about double the power. In order for this to occur, a Class A must move or show cause as to why they shouldn't. KNRQ will pay for all expenses.
