Isn't KBMS-AM in Portland still satellite Urban AC? I realize the signal isn't too great in much of the city.

"Nobody listens to KBMS, as they are not Urban AC anymore. [They do blues on their feed out to the South.{?}] I think [an] Urban AC [station] on FM will do good in Portland[, OR]. Look at San Francisco, Los Angeles, Arizona; they all have one."

Huh......what a concept. So I guess I am nobody, then?

So if PDX doesn't have Urban AC, then, what DO you call the majority KBMS' broadcast? Classical, Smooth Jazz, what?

Based on your commentary, methinks you haven't actually *listened* to Portland Radio in an incredibly long time, if ever, Fresh. Here's an idea for a little weekend project for you: withdraw about $15 from your bank account, then pay a visit to the electronics department at Freddy's and buy yourself a radio, preferrably one that receives AM & FM. If you are not sure what these are or where they are located in the store, ask a sales guy to help you. That's why the company hires them. Buy a couple of batteries if you need to. Put the batteries in the radio, turn it on and just listen for a while. Remember, there's a little dial on the side labelled "Tuning". The companies that make the radios put that dial there to enable you to find other stations besides the one it probably came pre-tuned to when it left the factory.

I wish you only the best of luck with this, Fresh.................

.....Not to mention, using a few, commas, here, and there, would help, to a great extent, of course........ ;o)

Here PBF1, you can have some of mine ,,,,,,,,,.........;;;;;;;;;;::::::::::
