since i've been around, those that have made the moves (from what i can recall):

Doug Lavalley - from WCSH (AM970) to Honolulu
Joe Martelle - from WCSH (AM970) to Boston (then Texas, Florida, Colorado)
Wally Brine - from WJBQ to 105.7 WVBF (now WROR) over 25 years and going strong
Greg Murray - from WJBQ to Chicago (can be almost 20 years already?)
Jon Holiday - from WJBQ & WTHT to National Syndication (is he still with Jones?)
Bruce Stevens - from WGAN to WIP in Philly, then WTIC Hartford, then WBZ and back to WTIC
Nick Seneca - from WGAN (with a stop at WHDH Boston during) to WIP Philly among others with a stop at some syndicated formats - currently in the L.A. area
Karen Collins - from WGAN-FM/WTHT/WJBQ to Boston
Pete Falconi - from WGAN AM/FM - now programming WODS Boston
Loretta Prescott - from WMGX to WBOS or WSSH (?) Boston (then back to WPOR)
Don Huff - from WGAN to WBZ & WHDH then back to WBZ Boston
Sonia Rincon - from WGAN - most recently KYW and now heading to WINS New York
Ryan Cote - from WGAN to WABK with a handful of years at 98.5 WROR Boston
Gary Tanguay - from WABI to WIDE to WCSO to WBZ & WTKK and now FoxSports New England
Dale Arnold - from WGAN/Maine Mariners to WABC/New Jersey Devils then New England Patriots and now WEEI Boston plus NESN/Bruins
Mike Emmerick - WABI/UMaine and WIDE/Maine Guides (AAA Baseball -OOB) to just about EVERY national network, including Olympics
Brad Hughes - from WPOR to WKLB Boston
Chuck Igo - from WGAN to WHDH and WBZ Boston, plus Greater Media Boston (WBCS/WKLB/WROR)
Harry Nelson - from WJBQ to California to Boston (WODS, WCLB-WBCS-WKLB, WROR) and Ft.Myers (now back at WPOR)
Chuck Morgan - from Boston (WVBF/WIEM) to WJBQ - opened production house, relocated to Ft.Myers and wound up doing mornings at WOLZ.

i'm sure there are a few i've missed (with apologies)

I remember listening to Dale Arnold on WJTO 73/95.3 doing sports. Also Steve McCausland who is now is a spokesperson for the Maine department of public safety was the news director there. Anyone remember 95.3 from Bath.I remember listening to Casey Kasems first AT 40 on WJTO back in I think 1971.Jeff Ryder was the PD and I think he later went to WJBQ 106.3.

how could i have overlooked Deb... doh! and iirc, before Deb, Kathy Kaplan made the jump to New York from WGAN.

plus Kevin Flannagan, from WGAN to New England Telelphone/Nynex/Verizon news/media guy.

On the TV side........

Jane Skinner from Channel 6 currently on FOX News
Jennifer Johnson from Channel 13 now NBC Washington correspondent
Jennifer Sabih from Channel 13 now KNBC in LA

amongst many others........ (Dan Harris, etc)

Here are a few from WBLM...1970's WBLM Program Director David Dye has been in the Philadelphia market for years. Previously, he has been at Rock station WMMR, former Rock station WIOQ, and currently at Public station WXPN. Late 1970s night time DJ Carla Raswyk went on to WBCN for a time, and later on to WEQX. Early 1980s night time DJ John Clark, who had also been at Portland's former WLOB-FM 100.9 when it was a Rock station, went to Albany Classic Rock station WPYX, from WBLM in 1984, where he still is to this day....
Are there any other former WBLM DJs still lurking around in other markets???

Mark Persky's been lurking in the local super-market...

Sorry, that was the Beast talking (hic!)

Cheers,

Joe...

I'm gonna have to reference some of the commercials and promos you and I did at WGAN together. ["Maine Catalog Sweepstakes" was among them].

I'm happy you're getting satisfaction in Ellsworth with Jeff and Mark. Both are pros who have somehow managed to stay alive in radio while enjoying it at the same time. :-*

Best wishes to all of you...
