CC must be ecstatic with three of the top 5 stations.

Their early gamble with AAR and Democracy Radio is paying off.

I just wish the rest of their "Progressive Talk" stations were programmed (and powered) as well as KPOJ.
______________

Re: Portland Spring 2005 rankings: KPOJ

How much of the 12+ increase for KPOJ, if any, is due to the addition of Thom Hartmann AM drive locally on "AM 620 KPOJ, Portland's Only Progressive Talk Station?"

Recently, Thom Hartmann's *national* broadcast has been added weekends to "Seattle's Progressive Talk, AM 1090."

When Entercom flipped KKSN from oldies to "Charlie" the first thing that came to my mind is that it could hurt sister station KRSK. So far it looks like that's exactly what happened.

I'll bet it's a bunch; Hartmann's is a very entertaining and informative morning show. CC was saying all along that their strategy was to have local morning drive hosts on their Progressive Talk stations. I think (and KPOJ's success demonstrates) that it's a smart strategy, even if (as they did at KPOJ) they have to import the talent from across the country.
______________
