Another dream-team candidate: Bobby Denton
Bobby Denton and Johnny Pirkle together! Wow that would be like a Texas Tag Team wrestling match. I would pay to watch that.

They'll need an established name for the job. If not, it'll be a year or two before the sports department begins to pay its own way. WIVK probably has a big chunk of change already locked down under contract for football this fall, anyway.
Jimmy Hyams is the best sports personality in the area. Just ask him!

how about that really skinnnny little man that used to be on WBIR between
two big X vols talking about the game on Sundays? You know who he is, very smart and I think he is a big blogger or something. He does sound like he knows a tad about the game and the vols.
Swamp naturally should be on the show because we love him and he never every does NOT agree with a caller!
Remember Small Mike? You don't? Good that will really piss him off! If you do, he should be in the mix also.

Well, he's resigned from the News Sentinel for "another radio opportunity," so I think all we have to wait and see is who his co-host will be if they hire one.

What a combo. They're going to give all the others a real run for their money.

All these damn factual announcements are taking away from the fun. It'll be those guys this fall, then Bobby Denton and Mike Keith will join them after the Titans win the Super Bowl in 2011.
Then IMG and Citadel will marry, have children, and neglect their good kids in Knoxville. Corporate support on Saturdays at Neyland will be the leftover hot dogs from that morning's car dealer remote. The university will tell them both to go make wee wee up a rope, leaving the local offices of both companies as orphans. Brantley Communications will then take over The Vol Network, hire the Knoxville IMG people to keep it rolling, and it will all be puppy dogs and unicorns on the way to UT national championships in perpetuity. Also, JP will buy a jet pack and a tin foil jumpsuit, since it's the future, and people are supposed to dress and travel that way in the future.

It sounds as though the only way to be considered legitimate is through contractual obligation to the university.
Sounds like both of them will be better than anyone on the Animal. Also starting in the month of Sept. I bet they beat Phil.
