Possible Liberty DJ?

The news on our friend VARTV'S site is that Dick Hungate is in talks with companies to get work. Hmm, something comes to mind, as in MainLine bringing in a old friend to Richmond to do Classic Rock school on Liberty989, we play anything you want. That would help the ratings out for them as there would be a face and voice that a lot of people love and respect. Unlike WWUZ, out of Bowling Green, WWLB has the signal to cover all of metro Richmond. The Planet would take a hard plunge. If the buzz is good and it gets out on the streets, then Mid-Days are back on 2 stations. They are already back with the Bopst Show on WCLM, has a buzz in town. You can't go into some of his sponsors places without hearing about the great music on his show. Now if Hungate gets on WWLB(formerly WCUL) then a BULK of the midday crowd that has flocked still to the Planet will be gone. Then Cox will have to worry about getting back the listeners who have found their friend elsewhere....

Lets take this time to thank VARTV for his great site. Thank you. You are a scholar and a gentlemen....

Let's hope Mr. Hungate does indeed find a home somewhere in the city. That account on VARTV of him programming his own show (imagine that!) should be applied to today's radio and Liberty would be a natural fit if the station wants to find a established radio personality to be a face on the now faceless station. I believe that would be a step in the right direction as I am a fan of human interaction on the airwaves.

Having said that, seeing as the station has already stolen my catch phrases ("we play anything" "you never know what's coming next"), logic would dictate that my phone will be ringing soon.<P ID="signature">______________

Do you have those phrases legally serviced marked? If you didn't,you're "screwed-dead-in-water" as far trying to claim any legal "squatters rights" on those phases. In other words, your claim would have NO legal standing at all.

Can you hear me laughing? I certainly hope so because you've generated a real gut buster.

Thanks for that....
