Possible 'My Network TV' stations, including....

In the Quad Cities (IL-IA), KLJB-TV FOX 18 and KGWB-TV WB 26. When I first heard about The CW to launch in September, I initially thought that WB 26 (transmitter in Burlington, IA) would more likely be CW 26 as opposed to WBQD-LP UPN 26 (low-powered transmitter microwaved from Peoria's UPN 59 outside of Moline). But now that My Network TV by Rupert Murdoch (along with FOX) is also supposed to launch in six months along with The CW, I kinda wonder--since KLJB is affiliated with FOX and co-owned with KGWB, would the latter be required to become a part of My Network TV and allow WBQD to become CW 26?

Also, in Quincy, IL, KHQA is a primary with CBS station with a secondary UPN affiliation. In theory, it could air programming from one or maybe both new networks, but I personally think it should air ABC on the side since the Quincy market has no ABC station. And WGEM (NBC) also controls two cable channels--a local FOX station and The WB 100+ (WEWB). If WEWB does not become The CW 100+, then I have a better idea--have WEWB become Quincy's ABC station! It's the perfect solution!

I thought about something like this for Roanoke. Grant Media owns Fox 21/27 and the digital-only WB5 here in Roanoke, just as Grant Media owns Fox 18 and WB26 in the Quad Cities. I agree with this idea, that they might try to go with the two Fox networks for their stations. It would leave the CW to WDRL-DT.

Here in Colorado, it's really quite simple...

In Colorado Springs, MY will most likely go to KXTU 57 (current UPN affiliate) as a SECONDARY affiliate (with The CW being the primary) with a possible secondary going to FOX affiliate KXRM 21.

It's also possible that either KOAA 5/30 (NBC), KKTV 11 (CBS) or KRDO 13 (ABC) could also grab it, but it would also be a secondary for them as well.

In Denver. MY will go to KTVD 20. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Don't see anyone else getting it here. Do you Alex? Dawn?

In Grand Junction, MY will most likely go to current UPN affiliate KGJT-LP 27 on a secondary basis (Secondary to The CW). It could also go to FOX affiliate KFQX 4 or CBS affiliate KREX 5, also on a secondary basis (All three stations are owned by the same company).

It's also possible that KJCT 8 (ABC) or KKCO 11 (NBC) could also grab it, but it'd also be a secondary for them as well.

That's the Colorado Report.

We're LIVE from Denver, Colorado....Cheers :)
