Possible Sale in Tulsa

Heard a rumor that EMF may be considering buying KXOJ in Tulsa. Could that be true?

If so, what are they like to work for? Do they pay well? How are the benefits?

EMF would not being hiring anyone for KXOJ if they do buy it. Their on-air staff works in California and they have like regional people that work in the area they serve which I assume a current employee would cover Tulsa since EMF has signals that cover part of the market now.

I hate to see that Cox won this battle in Tulsa buy flipping one of their signals to CCM just to bring down KXOJ so that their mainstream AC would not be hurt as much by them.

LOL...OMG this is hillarious. Anyone who knows the Stephens (KXOJ) knows they're never selling that thing.

That station is the very reason God called them into radio. Plus, it's "mad" proffitable for them.

You got ahold of some smelly information man.

Or you just made it up.

And another thing for those who read this board. "This Guy, KXOJDJ" works for one of KXOJ's competitor companies in Tulsa. He's always posting on the Oklahoma board to try to stir things up. Take each of his posts with a grain of salt. Mostly because they're COMPLETE LIES.

They sold KTLI off to K LOVE a few years ago and sold off a Lubbock CCM of theirs also so anything is possible. I know KXOJ has an incredible heritage so I hope it stays owned by the Stephens.

Big difference between selling proffitable stations and non proffitable ones.

Plus K-Love is a non-com & KXOJ is commercial. I agree with BehindtheLines 110%. I used to work for the Stephens & I would be very surprised if they sold KXOJ. I can see them selling a few of their other stations (in New York, Vinita, Muskogee) but not KXOJ.

The benefit of K-Love buying KXOJ = kxojdj would not have a job. Oh wait, never mind. We all know he/she doesn't work for KXOJ!!! ;D

Commercial stations can carry a non-comm signal.

The opposite is a bit troubling, but K-Love isn't limited to the non-comm band (although the main studio waiver isn't easily available for a commercial station ... so they will need a 'local main studio' if they bought it).

They take their non-reserved band ( 92.1 or higher ) signals non-comm and then plead poverty to apply for a main studio waiver.

KXOJ is not for sale to EMF or anyone else. Our company is in growth mode (see purchase of 10 NY stations),
False information is being posted to try and benefit other parties.
