Possible WJAS New Tower going up

I was traveliing down RT 28 .. looked across the river sunday night and saw one tower done with a little red light on top and today I saw 3/4 or more of a second tower. will this be the home for other stations too? I know the current site squirrell hill tunnels goes back to 13Q days. I assume this is wjas?

Are you sure that was a broadcast radio tower and not a cell phone or other type of tower? There are lots and lots of towers springing up all over everywhere, but I doubt if any of them are for an AM radio station.

They are moving their tower site, and will be 7k day/3k night (vs the current 5k days).

I could be wrong, but I thought I remember hearing that the new site was supposed to have 3 towers rather than 2. Glad to hear it's finally getting underway though it's been a long time in coming.

north tower appears to have more on top

went over the highland park bridge.. north tower appears to have more on top.. could there be an FM antenna going up? wshh backup antenna maybe.

yes, and as a City of Pittsburgh taxpayer, I will be footing the bill, since our highly paid Legal
Dept. did not do their homework on the lease before approving residential development on the
slag dump.
