POST-HOLIDAY PPM

Things got back to normal as 3WS and WSHH came back to earth.... as a result, DVE is back to #1, KD-AM surges back to #2, and 104.7 is also up big.

Up months also for Kiss, Y108, Bob, LTJ, Star, the X, WJAS, K-Love and the Frogs.

Y108, 104.7, LTJ and KD-AM were the biggest gainers.

The Fan was down slightly, as was WAMO. It will be interesting now to see how far the Pirates can take the Fan.

I actually heard a Highmark spot on WAMO yesterday..sounds like they might finally be getting a little bit of agency business. They definitely seem to have turned a corner in terms of having some sponsors on the air.

Wow...Q92 a top 10 station?...when was the last time that happened?

Any idea why KD AM showed the gain?

I must admit I started listening for the first time in quite awhile because of
the Allegheny County Property Tax situation. They were the only station
offering decent coverage of that, plus interviews with Fitzgerald and the
plaintiff's attorneys from the legal case.

Just think what they would have done if Judge Wettick had actually
sent Fitzgerald to the klink!

Let's give credit where it's due -- KQV was able to flatline with the same share and a lesser cume.

Give us 22 minutes, and we'll give you a fraction of a ratings point.

A bad sample with too many respondents over 55.

FYI Arbitron "weights" different demo's if there is not enough of a demo in the sample. There has been a lot of discussion about this but they do try to go by US Census in the various groupings. What really messes up things when a demo is weighted extra because of the small size of the sample, and then you have (for an example) a "polka lover" who somehow gets an 18-25 PPM device.

You've been getting on KQV for awhile now.

How come?
