I am continually amazed at the posts these two listers leave. Isn't this site intended to post thoughts and ideas on radio and not on what people thing of others? Why trash the names of people such as the Duke, Marilyn Kennedy, Frank Cali and Jim Brando? Calling people "nuts" and so on is as low and you can go.

I think it would be alot different if these posters didn't hide behind screen names and used their real names. It's a shame to see good radio people trashed on this site over and over.

I must apologize if some of these posts got by me. For your information, the two posters that you reference are one and the same. I would love to reveal them but that would not be the responsible thing for me as a Moderator to do. You're correct. This site is indeed intended to post thoughts and ideas on radio and is certainly not intended as an outlet for bitter personal attacks on anyone. I for one will try to be more dilligent and watch this a bit more carefully.

Thank you. I would hope that since you know who this is, you will give him/her a warning about these kinds of posts and or suspend him

Maybe, I'm the only one missing this, but all of us aren't in the loop
so who are you NEPAstach? I might add I do agree with you, so why don't the people who run and moderate this board make it policy to use their real names?

Also, check out the posts in other areas, some are brutal! This board is nothing by comparison."Dillweed" AKA "Captain and Busy" is harmless, it's actually quite funny to watch people here take him seriously...for God's sake its a message board!..GET A LIFE!!

That's right Schmitty. I'll tell everyone my name.
It's A. Royd. It was orginally Roydivich and my first name is Amel.
I just like the way PA_RoyDio rolls off the tongue.

Actually, I have been watching these posts, but have not seen anybody trashing anybody... Yes Capt & Dillweed are the same - that is not hidden, and obvious. I believe there was some talk a while ago about changing his name. Glad he finally did it!

I gotta say, Mr Dillweed (or whatever his name will be next week) does add some level of wackiness to the board. But, I haven't taken any of his posts seriously. And, his posts, in my opinion, have not warranted deletion.

Dear Moderator:

Here are some recent posts left by Mr. Dillweed and others:

(Here's a good example that was posted in the past few weeks)
BY THE WAY FRANK CALI WAS A NUT VERY TALLENTED, BUT A NUT.
HE REALLY DID TURN DOWN A REMOTE GIG BECAUSE HIS PLATE-LETS WOULD CLUMP!!
WHAT A REALITY SHOW !!!
Excellent reading though.

(and also this one)

Vanderheyden may be a "good" radio guy. Buy his people skills need some serious work. Just ask some of the old WSGD people he lied to about not firing them BEFORE they put in the automation. One woman who worked nights, came crying to him asking if he was going to fire her and go to automation at nigh. That she had 2 children to worry about. Vanderheyden lied to her face and said "No! I wouldn't do a thing like that." 2 days later she got the boot and was offered part time. A real 'honey' of a guy, who never wanted to be bothered or concerned with the people who worked for him.

Why don't these people have the guts to use their real names so we caan see how these people are that love to trash other broadcasters?

I recall seeing the post but I don't think that it was from dillweed, Captian happy et al.
While it's obvious that he is a bit touched, I do have to admit that sometimes I really get a charge out of his comments. It actually makes me smile at times and that's not all bad is it?

I'm wondering if someone can help me understand this.
The main complaint here seems to be the posts by Capt. Busy
and Dillweed. The two examples used are posts about Bob
Vanderhayden and Frank Cali. They are cited as recent
examples. The fact is on June 8th, a JackFM1 left the
post about Vanderhayden's work ethic in regard to families.
This prompted Vanderhayden to leave the board on June 16th,
2005. On August second 2005 I posted something inquiring
about Frank Cali's whereabouts which a few weeks later
prompted the "nut" comment. Here's what I don't get, it is
now Feb 2006, more than 5 months after these "defamatory"
posts. Did it take this long to get offended over these
posts? I just want to know, why the delayed outrage, why
now so long after the fact?

So basically since Mr. "PARadio" gets a woody over posts from Captain/Dillweed, they are OK to leave up, despite they are full of personal attacks? I was under the impression that posts that included personal attacks were to be removed, since it's against your rules. Seems to me you just enforce the rules on people you have personal problems with/don't like, etc. Sounds kinda one-sided to me.

Nope. There have not been any personal attacks on this board. I get called nuts all the time - I do not see that as an attack.

Saying someone is wacky or nuts does not constitute a personal attack. Further, you need to understand the tone of the post.

While some come here for the serious side of radio, there is still a level of humor here. Thats how radio people are, no?

Oh BW,..........you are oh so correct!Let's see, what do you call someone who gets up at 3am, drives many miles to work, works 10 hour plus days, works holidays, weekends, comes back to work again after their done, on days that it snows when the rest of the world closes your ass is there an hour earlier so you can tell the rest of the world to stay in bed,or works into the wee hours of the night? I'd say nuts!So if you can't at least have just a little fun doin this what the hell!By the way I still have alot of fun doing this after 25 years. Now it's time to go home after 11 hours....take a nap and do it all over again tomorrow.Radio people are all nuts in their own way, if not we'd go insane!
