Post-season baseball

There's even more post-season baseball this year, with the wildcard and many series going the full amount of games, at least so far. It also seems as if all of these games can be heard on a station with decent power and coverage (KIRO) whereas before I had to try to pull in games on KRKO or KHHO for example (I'm in West Seattle).

What's changed? Why are more games being carried on a local powerhouse instead of rim shot stations? I'm enjoying it as I can't stand sports talk radio. Games, yes, doughy ex-jocks talking about it not so much.

Maybe so that diehard baseball fans in Seattle can listen with a better signal?

And it seems like it will take 30 years for the Mariners to go to the World Series...

The cynical side of me says that any syndicated programming saves a few bucks. And each game represents at least 4 hours of syndication...sooooooo....
