Those maps are not "coverage maps" per se. They are representations of the directionality of each station, and do reflect to some extent the protection each station must be given by other stations on the same channel.Last week, I heard 670-KLTT from Denver, a rare catch here. Usually, it's the Chicago sports station.
KLTT's daytime makes it to Amarillo.

KLTT's nighttime signal goes more into western Colorado, though I recall it being very weak when I was in Trinidad, CO (south-central CO), and Raton, NM.

Tonight (12:35 a.m. CT Tue 11/26), the wobbler is playing havoc with WWL 870. Seems to be a bit of an auroral night anyway, but WWL is in the mush at times, under the ol' wobble.11/24 21:55 CST 870 KC While listening to the Eagles game on WWL, keep hearing that " tick, tick" which is usually Radio Reloj. Also have been hearing those musical tones all evening on this frequency. I don't see them listed in Wikipedia as being in Cuba. Nothing in fact is shown for Cuba. Very few stations on this frequency at night, even in other countries. WWL comes in better here during the day, too much fading at night.
The wobbler is strong at my QTH, Orange County, TX, on 870, 950 and some other freqs. May be due to me being closer to Cuba with a saltwater path than you areI’ve gotten WWL here in Kansas at night, but have never heard the wobbler.
The warbling sound on 870 doesn't matter much to WWL as their 105.3 FM covers the entire New Orleans market and anyone that has to listen to 870 would be outside of the market. WWL is the second strongest station I get, but I still hear the wobbler a bit with WWL nulled. A similar sound on 1040 also makes it difficult to hear WHO at times. That "warbling" sound makes listening to WWL pretty impossible. That's a shame because I enjoy their NFL broadcasts. They'll announce games even if they're not The Saints. The problem here is I'm in between their signal being local/dx, and propagation is good some nights but lousy others. I've never heard anyone mention that sound on the air. You'd think it would cost them many listeners. But if it's coming from another country there's nothing they can do about it.
RHC was only short wave, I believe, even in the “crisis” years of the 60’s.I used to get RHC about 20 years ago but that's the only Cuban station I've ever gotten here.
I think I mentioned this before but I got it on one of these frequencies, if they are the same as they were 20+ years ago:RHC was only short wave, I believe, even in the “crisis” years of the 60’s.
Maybe XECPAE Radio Educación in Mexico City. Usually strong over here in Houston.12/1 21:44 CST 1060 KC unknown station playing soft piano music, very soothing.
Very good copy. Appears to be coming from the south, can't pinpoint exact direction but if I turn the radio northwest and northeast it can still be heard. I've heard this station before.
