There's regular preaching, and then there's radio pastors. Basically the only profession where stations pay you money to predict doom and get all huffy about it. I think I will stick to my local sermons :)

Odd that I've never logged KTXV before.
@wildthangjim thanks for the tips. I logged KWAM and XEAI last night here in DFW. I had previously logged WBXR.

@wildthangjim WHBO apparently gets out well across the gulf, I logged them here in DFW on 11/18 at midnight. Also, just recently logged KOGT up here. Retro: I had logged KOGT back in Florida in ancient times.

For anyone interested or near DFW, local KZMP 1540 University Park (Dallas) has been off the air since yesterday (12/9). Only a weak KEDA (San Antonio) audible here today, will try for KXEL near sunset.

Nice.

When I'm spending time at the beach, I'm basically across Mobile Bay from WIJD, and they're very difficult daytime and completely missing at night. OTOH, WHBO is clearly audible daytime, and WHO is usually in with a good signal at night. Often as good, if not better, than the other usual midwest blowtorches.

I’ve got to try for KTXV soon. I’ve never managed to catch it from San Antonio.

The 7600GR is a nice radio, and it’s more sensitive on LW than all of my other portables except for my Sony ICF-2010 (which isn’t working).

It's 3:53 p.m. in Chicago and WBZ 1030 Boston is overwhelming WNVR Vernon Hills. The magic of sunset skip in the winter – and the ERP of a 50 kW directional clear-channel transmitter.

@wildthangjim thanks for the tips. I logged KWAM and XEAI last night here in DFW. I had previously logged WBXR.
@TXPH97 you're welcome. I'd logged WBXR, along with KZIM and a couple of others, thanks to your reports, so thanks for that! I also get some good tips from @jim-satx . Let's keep it going.

I really like my 7600GR. I've had it for 10 years and although the volume control is now a bit wonky, it's a solid DX radio.

KWAM is on my "wish list", but the problem at my location is that CBW is one of the strongest skywave signals here at night. If I null it, it's a jumble of weak...and very weak...signals, with WNML most likely to surface. But even that doesn't happen very often.

In the mid to late 60's while attending college in Kingsville, TX, KOGT was a regular nightly visitor. On Friday nights would listen to the Orange Tigers football games. KOGT's slogan was Keep On Going Tigers

I really like my 7600GR. I've had it for 10 years and although the volume control is now a bit wonky, it's a solid DX radio.

The volume control wonkiness must be common with the 7600GR. Mine is almost seven years old, and it started having that same issue a couple of years ago. Other than that, it is indeed a solid DX radio.

WFNT 1470 peaked at about 2.4 mV/m about 2 minutes before 5:00 PM EST Power reduction and Pattern Change near Pellston, MI. Pretty much equal to other interfering signals such as WMBD after 5:00 PM EST, but they change patterns about 5:15 PM EST, increasing the interference.
