Post your latest DX

Up pretty late tonight (after midnight here), conditions pretty decent towards the east it seems
1140 Country buried under KGEM/CHRB very likely KXRB Sioux Falls (needed)
1090 KBOZ Bozeman MT BACK ON THE AIR! Running a quasi-DX test basically...automation is screwing up and spitting nothing but ID sweepers out on the air, mentions they are 'the Gallatin Valley's Classic Country,' heard a few nights ago with Shania Twain and confirmed.
1270 unid Coast to Coast AM under KEDO/KVMI - likely KIML Gillette WY?
1100 WTAM Cleveland Coast to Coast AM, very weak but audible under KFAX/KNZZ mix // 1530 KFBK and others
690 CBKF-1 Gravelbourg SK w/ French programming, it has been a while since I heard this

This morning I had a new catch at 7:20 a.m. CT, shortly after sunrise: 1140 KNAB in Burlington, CO. I was aiming NW/SE and heard "Almost Paradise" by Mike Reno and Ann Wilson. The signal was weak and getting clobbered by XEMR. There was talk before and after the song, but it was too weak to understand. The previous morning I heard John Denver's "Calypso" around the same time.

The only station on 1140 to my NW/SE possibly matching a classic hits/soft pop format appeared to be KNAB. A few hours later, I called the station, and the lady who answered checked the song log for me. Sure enough, they were playing "Almost Paradise" at the time I heard it.

I was listening on my Digitech AR-1780 with a Terk Advantage loop.

Tonight (11/30) at 6:29pm CST heard daytimer KWDF 840 in Ball, LA almost as strong as WHAS with religious talk, almost an hour and a half past their sunset.

Nice. We're at that time of year.

KDOW 1220 was my first log this winter, Sept 2 at 1205am AK Time. And yes, they were running legal night power. 2200 miles

Here's my audio: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1I-CBnRttR-3mMblez3Kjq00TxGm5R26k/view?usp=sharing

Hey @TXPH97 I appreciate all your logs. It's amazing to me what you can pick up in your area. I just wanted to make one correction to your last post. 1690 Avondale Estates, GA is WMLB. It's funny because I live about 20 miles from that station and can rarely hear it. Keep up all the great logs!

Not exactly a "trophy" catch here for me. But, hey it IS a new one!.....

Sunday morning (11/28) about 90 minutes before local sunrise. WOMT, 1240 from Manitowoc, WI (on Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Green Bay). Distance from my location: 133 miles. Broke through the slop for about three minutes, which, fortunately, was long enough for a positive ID in the midst of a break for local commercials and PSAs. Radio was the C Crane Skywave.

Nice one Cyberdad. It helps that WSBC goes off at night leaving the frequency open for us n the Chicago area.

A few new ones into Houston recently. Not as impressive as TXPH97's lists, but I'm trying... (times CST)

910 KRIO TX, Del Rio 11/30 good signal w/KNAF nulled. 1801, Radio Esperanza ID, news and sports in SS.
960 KZIM MO, Cape Girardeau, 11/26 good signal on top of WERC and jumble. 1730 ID as "River Radio KZIM KSIM" Apparently //KSIM 1400, tried that but didn't hear!
1390 WNLA MS, Indianola, 12/1 fair signal briefly. 1732 ID "WNLA 1390, 93.5 FM, the Delta's gospel", into music.
1450 KWHW OK, Altus 12/1 on top for a minute 1735 community announcements, mentions of SW Oklahoma, ID as KWHW, ad then back to announcements.
1490 KWMC TX Del Rio, 11/29 fair but fadey in the mix. 2343 with classic hits and ID as 1490 KWMC, 1000 watts of classic hits" and "proud to call Del Rio home".
1600 KUSH OK, Cushing, 11/26 briefly on top 1710 ads with 405 area code and farm news.

Thanks. I didn't realize that WSBC was off at night. My problem with 1240 is that for whatever reason, stations seem less likely to rise to the top than on other graveyard channels. I don't know if WSBC being off at night would have anything to do with that. Their day signal here isn't great, and I can sometimes hear WSDR underneath, but WSBC usually is still listenable. Not strong enough to break through the noise when they have been on at night, however.

Thursday morning Dec 2, between 3AM and 3:30AM CST good reception on the Westfjords Iceland SDR to the east coast.
WINS and CFRB fighting it out on 1010. WBZ very strong, almost local quality on 1030. WEPN 1050 fair. WBBR 1130 good. 1390 from Maine also in.
Kaneohe, Hawaii receiver had 780 KKOH mostly in charge although KNOM and WBBM broke through briefly.
Nice to hear some action on the Iceland rig as it's been pretty quiet the last 10 days or so.

SDR hopping:
Tustin, Michigan (just south of Cadillac). Very interesting location with not many locals.
Only downside is this receiver has a front end problem and ham traffic, and CHU find their way to the medium wave band.
Loggings from the Tustin, MI SDR. 5:30-6:30pm EST 12/1
630-WLAP-Lexington/CFCO-Chatham ONT
850 KFUO-Clayton MO/WGVS-Muskegon MI
900 CHML-Hamilton (for some reason, first time on this rig)
920 WBAA W Lafayette IN
980-WONE Dayton, strong
1290 WHIO Dayton--strong

I checked out that receiver a few nights back. Agree with you on "very interesing". 630 was one of the stops for me, and CFCO owned it. But I heard a steady signal underneath. I thought it might be WLAP, and I think you pretty much confirmed it. Also was mildly surprised to hear CHAM in charge of 820. No readily apparent trace of WCPT ot WBAP. Finally, 900. CHML in with a good signal. They've been a little stronger than usual here at my home location lately, so perhaps they're either on day pattern or the DA is a little out of whack.

Just some generic observations. Some smaller Chicago area stations do well, WIND on 560, WMFL on 640, on the other end of the dial, WCGO on 1560 late into the morning and around sunset tag teaming with WTVB, WAAM Ann Arbor with several others at various times of the day. WTSO, Madison owns 1070 into the late morning. CHOK is never in.

Last night was pretty good for Mexican reception. Usually I hear Radio Educacion on 1060 but yesterday the other Mexican station made an appearance. at 7 PM CST I heard "La Raza" mention followed by Mexican music. Confirmed with web stream. Radio Educacion was also in the mix playing jazz music. KYW was fading in and out.

Mexican condition are good tonight as well. Logged a new one on 590 kHz at 8:06 PM CST. XEPH Mexico City with mexican music and "Sabrosita" mentions. Matched to web stream which was about 10 seconds behind.
