Will do for sure! :)
Didn't you also say you were also on WATK in Antigo, WI (860). If that's true. I'm pretty sure I heard you between tunes one morning a week or so ago. Classic country which went right into local ads, positive ID on top of the channel for 5-10 minutes, then vanished. This would have been a little before 4am CDT.

No, WATK is classic hits.. im on WTCH 960 Shawano, WI out that way

My bad. I had those two mixed up. The channel I heard was 960. And the music I heard was country. So I guess I did hear you. I'll keep checking the channel to try to get a longer segment. WTCH usually battles it out with WSBT here for the top spot on 960. WSBT usually gets the better of it, but definitely not always.

WATK, of course, is in the same neighborhood. Both geographically and on the dial (900). I hear them once in a while around here. Usually with CHML nulled.

Yup that was me then. I talk about 08 after, about 17-20 after, about 32-35 after and about 45-50 after the hour each hour. I usually only say my name during the 08 after segment

Yay!
Update: I tried both 960 and 1490 a little before 4am this morning. 960 was all WSBT, which is a littl3e unusal. 1490 was a complete mess. Nothing rose to the top. I'll keep after it from time to time.

WAYJ-89.5 Naples FL into Milford PA this morning, with WAY-FM IDs and promos. E skip of course. Another FL opening, but definitely not as strong as the other day.

There must be a hint of tropo in Illinois tonight. Driving in Kankakee County, picked up KCQQ 106.5 Davenport. Also snagged WSWT 106.9 Peoria close to the Cook County line.

Crazy Es opening out west! People all over California, Nevada, and Arizona logged Es tonight, including some very short distances...KAFF 92.9 Flagstaff heard in Goldfield, NV less than 400 miles away! SkyWaveDX in Palmdale had some very short skip to Utah and southern Idaho, lots of CO stations, KS/TX, etc. up through 108+.

Unfortunately, I didn't do so well. The cloud hardly ever moved north, so I could 'play along.' Even when Arizona DXers were hearing *YAKIMA* FMs...the dial was completely dead, just locals/semi-locals. Ugh! My antenna wasn't disconnected either.

Next time.

This was a CRAZY Es opening. Up to well over 60+ logs with I/Q files to review.

As a bonus I managed to get NOAA Radio station 162.525 KJY97 in Childress, TX. I've been trying to get NOAA Es for a very long time and it finally happened.

Uploaded the catch of the NOAA station here https://gofile.io/d/8G5hFh

E-skip this morning into Cheyenne, WY:
UnID on 90.7, 91.3, and 94.9, plus
92.5 KLAD Klamath Falls, Oregon (868.4 miles from my location) with major RDS!
95.3 KURY Brookings, Oregon (1,004 mi) (I heard their liner).

It was the case of I had just been asleep and so I probably didn't set up my antenna correctly.
Today, I used my R-108, as well as my Sangean HDR 15. The R-108 I used the wire antenna that was already included in the package.

The E-skip started at least as early as 9am MDT, and is still going strong as of 10:08am MDT. This is the earliest I've ever had Sparodic Es, and it was so early that I actually thought it was Tropo at first, until I noticed that my usual suspects weren't in. Also, I'm super excited to officially add a new state to my logs. There was the chance that I recieved Oregon during the May 21st, 2021 opening, but I couldn't confirm it. At least I have proof here!

Officially, the opening ended for me around 10:40am, however it looks like there's still a lot out there!

Aside:Here's an RDS snapshot of KLAD. It's kind of funny to me because KKSE Denver used to be country, and a lot of Northern Coloradoans still miss that station. So, perhaps the skip to Oregon provokes some nostalgia?6_21_22-Eskip-92_5KLAD.jpg

Earlier this evening, just around sunset, I got out the loop and switched on the RF-B45 and heard two stations from the Yakima area, and another one near the Tri-Cities maybe 150 miles and 200 miles, as the crow flies, to the east of me (and over the mountains).

KUTI 1460 Yakima with Freddie Colemen on ESPN, KBBO 1390 Yakima with Mariners' baseball and local Yakima spots, and another station -- near the Tri-Cities -- which used to be ranchero, apparently went off the air, and now seems to be back on and run by La Familia, KZXR in Prosser on 1310 - with religious talk and "La Familia" IDs.

Reception on all three was around S3 signal levels and steady. It was still light out, too.

Summer is usually poor for MW DXing but sometimes you hear things that are buried in the jumble during the other times of the year.

ESPN Yakima on 1460 is usually a regular at night, but reception varies. The Prosser station on 1310 is usually buried under an Oregon station, KNPT, which is a talker. Sometimes KLIX Twin Falls is in the mix.

But earlier these stations were alone on their frequencies. Pretty cool to hear, especially as nothing else is going on MW.

I had it start about 930-10am one day in Laramie and go so long, i ended up being 90 minutes late to work

So after reviewing recordings it looks like I managed to get 80 logs... from the Monday opening not including the NOAA Es catch.

Shortest was 94.3 KDDL Chino Valley, AZ at 543 Miles.

Longest was 96.1 KXXY, 90.1 KUCO, 93.3 KJKE at 1359 miles. All near by in Oklahoma City, OK

A little bit of E-skip today from Cheyenne, WY on a vehicular radio around 4pm MDT:
89.9 WDPG Greenville, Ohio (1,058.6 miles) Classical format with good RDS. The RS field read "Discover Classical Dayton", which matches the branding online.

95.5 UnID that was a Top-40 station.

It would appear I also had E-skip around 11am this morning, but I completely missed it. Someone from Dalton, GA messaged me and said they had recieved a few Cheyenne stations.

In Lansdale Pennsylvania at 11:17 am. I received WLDI from the palm beach area in Florida about 1,137.8 miles away! I think it was likely tropo related because it was coming in and out but I was able to hear the radio station's id. I was also able to identify where it was likely coming from because I heard a radio commercial for a Palm Beach Toyota dealership.

Yes, there's been E-skip to FL from the Northeast US and Great Lakes today. On Milford PA Global Tuners a short time ago:

89.7 WMLV Miami
89.9 WJCT Jacksonville
89.1 WUFT Gainesville
90.7 WFSL Thomasville GA
92.1 WJJN Columbia AL
plus some UNIDs

There has been a lot of E-skip in the eastern US today, with the MUF getting as high as 130+ MHz over Virginia. I did not receive anything here in Picayune, MS until around 7 pm when WXRV Andover, MA with RDS "92.5 The River" came in. Later, there was
90.9 WLFE Cutler Bay, FL - Life FM
92.7 WEOW Key West, FL - CHR
93.5 WZFL Islamorada, FL - Revolution 93.5
96.9 WKEZ Tavernier, FL - Keys Talk 96.9/102.5
97.7 WAVK Marathon, FL - 97.7 The Zone, sports
102.5 WPIK Summerland Key, FL - Keys Talk 96.9/102.5
There were also Spanish language programs on analog TV 3, 5, and 6, too blurry to see any logo or text.
