WXES 1110 and WMBI 90.1 were back on the air when I checked at 7:10 pm CDT. During their absence I did not spend any time listening on 1110, but I did park on 90.1 and was rewarded with 3 new FM logs:

WPRR MI Clyde Township, MI at 1:09 pm CDT
WEFT Champaign, IL at 1:38 pm CDT
WFYI Indianapolis, IN at 2:10 pm CDT

I also had a Spanish speaking station on 90.1 between 2:30 - 3:10 pm coming in and out with brief fade ups playing Mexican style music. There was a newscast at 3:00 pm with several mentions of Monterrey. Did not manage to ID it.

Crazy opening out west.

Blew up last night night. I had Es to top of the band to Phonex and Tucson area.

As bonus KWAV 96.9 here was completely off the air and picked up two logs on that frequency.

Had 96.3 KSWG at 555 Miles.

Just tiny fadeups on 88.3, 91.7 and 93.1 last night, maybe 1-2 other channels. Tentative format matches on KSDS-88.3 San Diego, XHGLX-91.7 Tijuana and KLJZ-93.1 Yuma, none of which are new.
The opening from California to the east-southeast was INSANE. A Phoenix DXer was getting Santa Maria/San Luis Obispo FMs at less than 475 miles. Randy in Goldfield NV was getting so much Es from Mexico that it was overloading the radio.

Hoping for an opening later this week where I will not be working/subbing when the MUF reaches 108. Local kids get out for summer vacation next week.

I can hook you up with a KLJZ Yuma QSL if you want, i know the news director/ops manager!

I couldn't confirm them. I've heard them several times before in the past. Normally I don't QSL any FM DX, but I always have recordings or RDS snapshots that confirm the station.

[email protected] can check the playlist for the time and tell you if what they played matched what you heard, @crainbebo

So, It's possible i had a Guadalajara station but I'm not exactly sure.

I initially logged it wrongly a short skip station due to the FFFF pi code. Upon further investigation i found I was wrong being tired.

Is this 92.3 XHBIO? Mexicana appears to mentioned several times. FFFF Pi code and a partial rds data decode of MEXI.

Audio clip here Gofile - Free Unlimited File Sharing and Storage

IF that's all true that would be quite at log at 1584 miles...

Looking into this more it looks like it was 92.3 XHCCCB in Culiacan. Wasn't listed on FMlist. It also carries the Mexicana brand. I guess it's rather new station.

I was able to get a partial RDS decode of XHCC among after several attempts as well as a medium news article about it launching in March. That pretty much confirmed what it is.

Apologies for the incorrect FMlist logs.

Tonight I'm hearing classical music on 1540 AM.

I suspect it's some sort of religious station that's filling unused timeslots, but I don't know which one. I'm attempting to listen for an ID.

Location: East San Francisco Bay Area in the Lamorinda area.

EDIT: I heard Spanish, so it's probably KENT, but I'm not sure.

I had some E-skip to Birmingham about 3 hours ago, and that included RDS confirmation of 103.7 WQEN (1,118 miles), 94.5 KJOK, as well as audio confirmation of several other Alabama and Tennessee stations. Local MUF was 107.3, however I suspect it went higher than that. Glad to finally join the party so late in June!

These reports of E-Skip are fascinating.

Request: Please include your location in posts about DX. Does not have to be specific town, but "SW Tennessee" or "Coastal northern California" will do.

made this same request (suggestion) 2 or 3 years ago and a mod. responded that I should just look at the poster's info to the left. I thought, "ya, thanks a lot mr. mod."
