I got KHAT 1210 February 17 after 12:30am in VallejoThey used to be my arch nemesis.. I was so close to KHAT 1210 that they'd mix with KOWB 1290 and spew junk all over the dial.
Now, 2500 miles away from Laramie, WY.. I cant escape them, but their effect is lessened on me up here . The audio at the link below is from about 3 weeks ago at 8pm AK time, with a KHAT legal id.
So much for KHAT operating daytime only.

KHAT is a *pest* in Yakima. Usually on top, every night.
They are even worse in Montana. I regularly use the SDR in Stevensville MT on the Kiwi and KHAT booms in nightly on 1210, sometimes with CFYM. If they go to flea power, I won't miss them. I'll be satisfied with KOKK and (especially) WPHT making their way west. KGYN Guymon is very rare here.
Are they short-spaced to another 1210 that they can't retain one watt of night power non-directional?That's what I was mistaken about. They want to go daytime-only. That would free up this channel quite well. As I said, KOKK Huron SD and WPHT Philly are well-wanted stations.

It might be because of KRSV Afton? But that's maybe 250 miles away.
