Back on the 23rd i had an FM Es opening during the late evening.. Yes, FM Es in March again...

All relogs to KS and CO with 98.1 KKFM being the highest up the band.

At around 12:00am EST, I received 1280 CFMB Montreal, QC in Clifton, NJ. CFMB is around 308 miles (496 km) away from me. I heard it underneath my local station WADO for about a minute. WADO had a brief open carrier before the new Regional Mexican format started.

CFMB has been really getting out a lot lately. It does help that a semi-local WBIG in Aurora, IL has been off the air due to losing their tower site though the station does have an STA applied for.

some okay catches lately :)

listening to “graveyard” frequencies does require a lot of patience, hoping the signal will “rise to the top” at the right moment with an ID, a local business, city name or a local phone number!

At 12:05am in Picayune, MS I'm hearing
1270 WBOJ Columbus, GA - The Valley's Greatest Hits, Boomer 102.5 5kw day/188w night
Earlier around 11pm, I heard
1280 WIHB Macon, GA - 97.3 and 103.3 The Bull Icons 5kw day/99w night. After WIHB faded out, it was replaced by 1280 XEAW Monterrey - La Gran 10kw day/1kw night. WODT New Orleans isn't coming in as usual.
I regularly listen to WBOJ 1270/102.5 "Boomer" and for quite awhile now their audio keeps cutting in and out. Hope they get it fixed. There's a country station I've heard from Picayune, MS. Maybe you know which one I mean? It's on AM.

On the stream? sounds fine to me, @Mike in Destin

4/9 8:50 PM CST 1070 KC WDIA Memphis,TN Urban Contemporary 5kw 6 towers at night. Fair copy. I just put some batteries in this Panasonic R-1021, and caught a new dx entity! I recapped and aligned it quite some time back.

Yesterday (Thursday) morning while driving down Highway 29 near Middletown, CA (around 7 AM Pacific), I noticed KBRT bubbling up under KCBS AM, which was very interesting as I don't think I had ever noticed it before. Apparently, the skywaves were still active due to auroral activity on Wednesday night, and it caused KBRT to overpower KCBS in the North Bay (where KCBS' signal is weaker anyway due to the directional pattern pushing most of the signal, I believe, to the south and east) when they switched to day power (50,000 watts) as usual. Is their day pattern nondirectional?

Stern Radio 6967khz 0508 Apr 19th in west central Alaska. Kinda noisy and weak but can clearly hear music that ended followed by a man talking. Was a bit of silence before the next track. It was a computerized voice doing the talking. The signal peaked about 10-15 minutes later, especially as they played some real heavy music.
Tef 6686, big ass loop, preamp and antenna tuner.
