6/15 8PM CDT 1590 KC WPSL Port St Lucie,FL 63 watts, the east coast. Talk format.

I had the antenna east/west. Did hear a country station for a short while. That could have been WCSL Cherryville, NC. Wrong direction but possible. Or KBHT " Kicker" Mexia, TX which I've heard before, also country. Did hear " PSL".

6/4 8:20 PM CST 1570 KC KLLA Leesville, LA oldies 6 watts 1 tower. Rarely heard.

Unknown Latino station on frequency.
The station in Spanish is probably XERF, although I see there's a station in Spanish over near Jacksonville. XERF plays mostly regional Mexican music.

Between 5:45 and 6:15 CT this morning in San Antonio, I was hearing soft pop/classic hits intermittently on 1280 (Piano Man, Tainted Love, You’re in My Heart).

The radio was aimed N/S, and the station was only in for brief snatches, with XEAW (Monterrey) mostly dominant.

Could this be KPRV in Poteau, OK? The format and direction would seem to fit. Other possibilities would be XEEG, KXEG and KQLL; however, their streams/playlists did not match.
KPRV is possible, but their website says they play gospel on Sundays. I've not heard anyone on this frequency playing similar music. It's possible that someone is breaking format at sunrise on a Sunday morning.

Another massive Es opening in progress on the East Coast. Just witnessed Star 102 Cleveland get wiped out by Big 102 Lafayette LA on the SDR in Akron OH.
KXKC-99.1 is like a local right now, also hearing Florida Keys, Miami, and WSMR Sarasota.
It was already top of band from New England to GA/FL/SC at *6:30AM Eastern*
Also hearing KMXH-93.9 Alexandria with Steve Harvey.

6/17 4:30 PM 101.1 was listening to WYOO when it sounded like a band opening. I heard a station playing what sounded like music from the 1930s. Exactly what was heard on "The Green Mile. " I don't know if it was a commercial, or an actual song. I don't know if it was WJSB with their FM translator, or someone else. Whatever it was lasted just a short time. This was right after a loud thunder "bang" which almost gave me a heart attack. Maybe mother nature did something weird. Seriously people, I don't know what that was!

6/19 7:25 PM CDT 102.3 WAMI Opp,AL
Not sure of their format. Radio-Locator says classic country. JM Jackson Chevrolet.

102.9 WVRK "Rock 103" Columbus, GA

Dx heard on other fringe frequencies
101.3
101.7
102.5

Hey, wildthingjim. I called the station and talked to Michael Billy, who confirmed the reception. He also made a distinction between their AM and FM stations and said that the former gets its adult contemporary music feed from Westwood One.

Two new logs at Boulder Lake (east of McCall) today BEFORE E-SKIP HIT (see a separate thread for details, will be up shortly), a rather cloudy and cold day to hike, but I had an open day.

89.5 KEFS North Powder, OR, The Effect over KTSY. 165 watts at 92 miles. Log #275
97.5 KYMI Charlo, MT, w/ promo for the Air 1 app fading up briefly (KGGL and KBAZ also in). NEW #276, 2.1KW at 174 miles.

Glad some people are having some Es luck.

This year for me has been horrible. Might be one one of the worst Junes in years. Two openings to west Texas and a bit to ok is all I've had for June. May was better and pretty decent.

Hopefully July redeems itself.

In Myrtle Beach last week very briefly but in the clear got Real 92.7 Ozark AR. Unid 92.7/1540 AM.

Glad I’m not the only one with the poor Es! Here in San Antonio it’s been a really bad year for Es as well. I had openings of just a few minutes on May 7, June 13, and June 22.

On June 17 I did have a decent opening to Mexico for about an hour around noon. I had one relog (88.5 XHKV in Villahermosa) and three new ones (88.5 XHIL in Veracruz, 88.5 XHPLEO in Huajuapan de Léon, and 89.7 XHOYE in Mexico City).

There was a sizable Es opening a couple of Saturdays ago that had top-of-band from the Great Lakes/Ontario to Texas. You didn't get anything out of that, Jim?
PClover (Eric), were you around this past Friday afternoon/evening as well? My opening to KS/OK/TX/CO from McCall ID should have resulted in you getting Montana or Saskatchewan, the other way.

Major Es opening this midday on the East Coast. At 1PM ET on the Cape Cod MA FM-DX SDR server, I had top of band Es to Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa. Noted:
KSOU-93.9 Sioux Center IA
KFTK-97.1 Florissant MO, Brian Kilmeade show
KPOW-97.7 La Monte MO
WBGL-91.7 Champaign IL
KMZU-100.7 Carrollton MO
WBNH-88.5 Pekin IL
WGCA-88.5 Quincy IL
WCBU-89.9 Peoria IL
KILJ-105.5 Mt Pleasant IA w/ ag update and RDS
WIXO-105.7 Peoria IL The X
WZNX-106.7 Sullivan IL
KLDX-88.5 Sioux Center IA K-LOVE

Friday evening I drove back from Yakima and took US-95. While passing through the Camas Prairie south of Lewiston, the FM band opened up with E skip. All heard between Craigmont and Grangeville ID, in the 7:00 hour on Friday 6/27:
-XHRM 92.5 Tijuana w/ RDS
-XHITZ 90.3 Tijuana
-XETRA 91.1 Tijuana w/ RDS
-XHTIM 90.7 Tijuana 'La Mejor'
-KWFN 97.3 San Diego, Padres postgame
-XHMORE 98.9 Tijuana, Baja California PSA
-XHFZO 92.9 Ensenada w/ ID sweeper
-XHHIT 95.3 Tecate, RDS 'La Lupe'
-XHPENS 94.7 Ensenada, w/ RDS ID
-KSSX 95.7 San Diego w/ RDS, The Beat
-KGAY 92.1 Thermal CA w/ RDS
-KARJ 92.1 Escondido CA w/ AIR 1 app promo
-XHMMF 92.3 Mexicali BCN RDS
-XHSOL 89.9 Mexicali RDS
-KMYI 94.1 San Diego

MUF was 99.7 and was likely XHTY Tijuana, but no ID. Also had an 88.5 with indie rock, probably KSBR, a few other SS stations and religious FMs in too. 90.5 had preaching for a half-hour with no ID, maybe KNLM Yucca Valley?

Too far from Cascade/McCall, so NONE OF THIS counts for the master log. Darn it. A friend of mine in the Antelope Valley had Wenatchee, Spokane, Grangeville AND two of my McCall low-power locals!! (KAVY 89.1 "Project" and KBSM 91.7 "Boise State Public Radio Music")
