7/16 900 KC WFIA Louisville, KY Christian talk 162 watts ,antenna east/west on Terk.

9:15 PM 1570 KC KLLA Leesville, LA oldies 6 watts single tower. Only hear them once in awhile for obvious reasons. Also Latino station on frequency. Supposedly KLLA is the only AM station in west central Louisiana. According to them. That's rural!

7/20 10:12 PM CDT 1030 KC KCTA Corpus Christi,TX religious format. They are supposed to go off the air at night, so don't know if intentional or not. Not sure if they're running 50 kw, since that's their daytime power. Non directional.

Also hearing a music station, probably Mexico.

90.9 WATP Laurel, Mississippi "American Family Radio" (Christian Talk) on my car radio here in central NJ at around 12:15 to 12:30 PM today.

I also briefly heard "Classic Country 90.9" WFAZ Goodwater, Alabama -- long enough to know that according to them, the Eagles count as Classic Country.

And also briefly Spanish music on 105.7, but not enough to get an ID. Maybe WBZY from Canton, Georgia?

FMDX.org SDR in Tabernacle NJ showing E-Skip today with FM stations from Nebraska (KMLV), Missouri (KXCV), Illinois (WCIC), and Iowa (KDFR), With MUF numbers around 98-100 MHz above Ohio

Several consultants back in the 90's felt that there was a lot of pop like that which belonged in the country gold formats.

When I changed consultants at WTNT in Tallahassee to Rusty Walker around 1990, we cut out over 300 cuts the prior consultant had put in... right down to the Everly Brothers.

7/22 Midnight CT, outskirts of Chicago, 530 Radio Encyclopedia with a steady and sometimes strong signal, the beautiful music easily matched to its website.

Also 680 CJOB Winnipeg bombing in with little hassle from 670 WSCR. Did this southeast-heavy pattern get approved for CJOB or does it remain errant?

In Lansdale Pa, yesterday at 10:45 AM I received WAVW 92.7 that is licensed to Stuart Florida, over 943 miles away. The signal was strong enough to get a call sign on my HD radio. I am assuming that this is due to tropo because I also received stations from Baltimore around the same time as well.

11/22 11 PM 102.3 station heard with an oldies/adult contemporary type format. Very weak copy, mild band opening.
"Julie Julie" Bobby Sherman
"Close to you " Carpenters

Listened for over half an hour but unable to get an id. Too weak. If anyone has a suggestion of who that could be, I appreciate your opinion. Thanks!

WJRL 100. 5 " The Bear" Dothan, AL.

maybe "My 102.3" WOPP (WAMI). 1290 hasnt been on air in ages, and they moved to FM.. the old WOPP was listed as country but My 102.3 doesnt sound like a slogan youd use on a country station

That's a bit like KVMI 1260 AM out of Tulare, CA, whose slogan is "The New My975", in reference to their FM translator at 97.5 (I wonder when they're gonna get rid of "new", as the format is actually several years old now).

They are a Soft AC, though, so it fits better than it would in a Country station.

They're probably the most likely. Also heard "You're the biggest part of me" Ambrosia.
It was mostly oldies with some adult contemporary. AM was too noisy last night, static.

1270:)

1270 was a regular visitor in SE wyoming at sunrise. ive heard it after dark here in AK a few times.

And lemme tell you.. that station is spot on musically and imaging wise.. its exactly what i imagine a station like theirs should sound like overall.

Haha, of course!

They came in relatively well at my old location in the east SFBA, especially after KBZZ went off air.

At my current location, reception of KVMI is impossible because I have a local 1270 (KXBX Lakeport, 500 watts ND* day/97 watts ND night).

I agree, their presentation is very good for a Softish AC.

*ND = nondirectional

7/24 1520 KC KOKC Oklahoma City,OK.
I'm curious how much they radiate in my direction, because they beam towards the Rockies and midwest nights to protect WWKB Buffalo. Probably not much.

Had a new infotainment system installed in my car today, an RNS 510 that has HD radio. It works great and I picked up KTOZ FM from Pleasant Hope, Missouri for the first time.

If the Eagles came out today, because their biggest hits were slow ballads (Lyin' Eyes, Best of My Love, Take It To The Limit, Desperado, etc.), they wouldn't be played on today's "hit radio."

Last night while driving around 11:00 or so, I was listening to KCBS AM when I noticed something unusual: adjacent frequency slop.

I checked 730 and 750, which are usually either clear or just an incomprehensible hash of distant stations (or completely buried by KCBS' slop), and I heard a station loud and clear on 750.

I couldn't ID it, unfortunately, but there aren't too many stations on 750 that it could've been: WSB Atlanta, KFQD Anchorage, KXTG Portland, and KERR Poison, Montana, with KXTG and KERR perhaps being the likeliest, especially if either were accidentally left on day power.

Anyone know what it could be?

I was driving through Ukiah, CA at the time.

That's your opinion, not a fact.

Here's some facts:
Life in the Fast Lane went to #11 on the Hot 100 and Heartache Tonight was their last #1 hit.
Yes, opinion, as most posts are here.
You think Lyin' Eyes would be on Mix 93? Or Hot Hits whatever?
Radio is much different than when a handful of Eagles songs rocked in the late 70s.
