Post your latest DX

The Kansas City daytimer KEXS 1090 is on air welllll after dark running catholic talk at 922pm MT july 16

They fixed it. It was a remote control that somehow lost its marbles and need a date/time reset

At 9am this morning, near Saratoga, California, I received 90.3 CKMP-FM ("90.3 Amp Radio") from Calgary, Alberta, about 1000 miles away. I was using my Qodosen DX-286 radio, no external antenna. When I heard "Calgary", I thought NO WAY until I figured there must be a Calgary in California (there isn't). The RDS PI was CD59, which confirmed it is CKMP. The signal faded in and out a few times before it seemed to be gone for good.

After years of scanning the FM band here, this is the very first time I can confidently say I received an FM broadcast station via E-skip.

Today's opening was the biggest all year. Full thread tonight when I get a chance. I was in Ellensburg and on the way to hiking Manastash Lake (yearly tradition) for much of the opening. There are dozens of new stations, even translators. Locals were wiped out (KCSH...KCWU...even nearby 100,000 watt KATS 94.5 was destroyed...TWICE...and both of those IDed stations are new overall). Corn and soybean ag reports all over the dial too.

And a dream come true...I confirmed one of Paul Walker's FM stations in WY!!

@crainbebo ok. if you do anything else tonight, post your log and audio of one of my stations .. i wanna see and hear this.

No audio, it was just music, but I have the RDS hit right here!!
Heard along the Manastash Lake trail, approximately 18 miles W of Ellensburg. No phone service where I was...
About 10:40 AM PT, I believe? Band was loaded CO/WY/KS, and also Manitoba. Had WPR on 89.9 with a KUWR ID only...must be Rawlins, not Torrington.

Well, that’s us!. KIMX’s Rds only displays calls and station slogan/name. No song title and artist data….. yet. We are struggling to get a good data connection going there for a number of reasons.

I checked the timestamp again...it was a little later. 10:50AM PT. Still an impressive catch. Strangely, I didn't hear KCGY. Colorado was all over the dial at that point, and CBC stations from MB were also in. Full report coming...

Feeling like I am getting @crainbebo leftovers ... I got another confirmed E-skip today. I caught it between 5:56 and 5:59pm PDT on 95.5 FM. It clearly stated "Montana's Best Rock". This was enough to lead me to KMBR in Butte, Montana, about 780 miles away from me. Their playlist during this time was exactly what I heard, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Don't Ask Me No Questions, followed by Van Halen - Ice Cream Man.

I almost certainly heard another E-skip on 95.1 FM a bit earlier, but with only a couple of short non-descript music samples, I had nothing to identify it with.

Massive East Coast E-skip AGAIN! Last night, there was a several-hour opening that reached the NWR band. It's back to 2-meter MUF *again*. Ontario getting skip as close as 525 miles on FM. Check those radios as soon as you leave church!

Hearing KJTH 89.7 (The House FM) from Ponca City (Oklahoma), E-skipping to Upstate S.Carolina today. (900 miles!) 😮

That's a local station to my friend in Wellington (Kansas), with coverage from OKC to Wichita.

I was on an SDR receiver in Wisconsin before church, MUF 107.5+ to Virginia, West Virginia, and Outer Banks NC. WWDE 101.3 Hampton Roads was as strong as a local, heard tons of Richmond stations as well.

Bill Hepburn in Ontario had 3-4 NWR stations out of ND and FL.

The ionosphere is so red hot, we need shades 😎

E-skip EXPLODING east coast midwest again! Turn on those radios!
Bristol TN SDR, Minnesota/Manitoba to the top of the band plus WEVO 89.1 NH, and a Maine station on 89.9...
