When one has to work.... and DX at the same time. I have been focused on SW DX lately but as the FM DX season winds down, maybe I'll get some FM DX stuff.. sitting in the KLMI studio working on music logs for all 4 stations, then going to VT my KLMI show followed by VTing my KSKO show.

Ive got a TEF6686 with just a whip sitting in the left hand corner of the desk, connected to a recorder and headphones im wearing.

If I hear anything, I'll report back. If I dont report anything, I hear nothing.

KIMX, KRQU and KHAT share a studio in the room next to me.

I heard that one in NW PA and the host at the time put me on the air live.

This morning on the FM TEF SDR in Greenville, Ohio, I heard many of my future local stations, including what will be my nearest local, KMXE FM 99.3 The Mountain...1301 miles. Many Billings FMs were like locals, with little fading. KRKX acted like a new local. So did KCHH Lite FM, pummeling semi-local Indianapolis on 95.5.

Nick Langan in NJ had Es this afternoon on 92.9 to "Nick 92.9" in WV...what a coincidence. AND IT'S ONLY 329 MILES AWAY, calculating an MUF well over Channel 7, maybe even channel 10 or 11 😲😲😲😲😲

Now 440 mile FM Es from Minneapolis (KNOW-91.1) to Matt Sittel in Manhattan, KS.

Randy Zerr in Goldfield, NV had one of the greatest double hop Es sessions to date today...Detroit to 105.1 (?!?!!), Pittsburgh on 92.9, several Torontos, Niagara Falls...the other day he had Kickin' 92.5 in CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA...

This is the craziest FM season I've ever seen, and even the seasoned DXers who have been doing this since the 1970s say they are in utter shock and awe. May it keep going EVERY DAY until Perseids...24 hours a day...7 days a week...

Paul, I wonder if your locals have been wiped out on the monitor in the studio yet.

Oh and I added another new FM log today on the truck radio while driving for Amazon. KFRI-88.7 West Odessa TX with Air 1, CJ and Lauren Show, around 1:15PM this afternoon. Distance 1395 miles, 100KW. NEW #1001
A little later on, I had weak signals from El Paso on 93.1, 93.9 and 95.5 (all relogs), out towards the Hanford base...the route took me to Mattawa later in the day!

no, i only had Es up to 91 today. ive not had any reports of reception issues this summer from the boss or listeners.. Es hasnt been as active here.. i may have missed a time or two.. but i checked frequently and today was the first for me
