Posting Articles

Hey All,

Just a reminder that copy/paste of stories from places like WSJ, All Access, Yahoo, etc. is against site policy and the Mods will be editing/pulling posts with full-text in them.

I don't know about the other Mods, but the format I use when linking to articles (most of the time anyway) is a 2 or 3 line summary with the link either directly before or after the summary.

Feder is reporting Soul 106.3 is planning on replacing their now departed afternoon jock with a syndicated talk show.

Story: http://www.suntimes.com/output/feder/cst-fin-feder12.html

Also, if you're posting a link, place the [ url ] [ /url ] (no space in between the []'s and the URL) tags around the link.

Anyway, I hope those example help!

Whenever i copy/paste stories i usually put 1 or 2 sentences then i add [more]

For example:

Quoted Text here [more]

I do that for 2 reasons:

1) Some stuff might be considered copyrighted and could get the site here in trouble (Or any site i post on)

2) People dont wanna read long quoted things on the screen..

All ya gotta do is provide the SOURCE LINK and a few paragraphs like I do and thats it :)
