Potential 99X flip???

im actually not kidding . they have a better play list and looks as if they connect good with there audience

Well folks, we've officially found 99x's one listener. Thank's for showing your face, dawg...we've been wondering who you were for quite a while.

I'm actually impressed with 99x, but for a different reason. I figured that by ACCIDENT, you'd find a 2.0 12+ at some point in the past few books. Not doing so is impressive.
 
I remember when 99x started and how excited I was. It was more than about time for a station that played that kind of music, even if they weren't quite wacko/obscure/silly enough for my tastes. If you asked me what my favorite style of music was I'd still answer alternative. That is quite a broad brush though. Having said that I wouldn't care one bit if they flipped to oldies. I'd probably even listen in my car sometimes. As things stand now 99x is a complete bore outside of lunchtime.

connecting good with you audience would imply some ratings, which 99x has none.

Maybe they have the same kind of RDS box that our station has. It auto-defaults to "Country" at least twice a week and we have to get someone to go kick it square in the transistors.

Indie has a mystique about it - but their ratings are no better than X for L.A. And please correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe that's exactly what we need for Market 9. I mean, shouldn't ATL radio be emulating market 2 instead of 102? There's too much dumbing down of ATL radio lately, and we should be stealing talent from the higher markets instead of looking cheaper in the smaller ones. On that note, us and the smaller markets need to go back to weekend/overnight talent so they can be groomed the proper way instead of getting one guy to VT every freaking station in the company, so we can have good talent to choose from instead of scaping the barrel.
