Potential end of era at Lite FM

This morning I noticed the absence of Herb Barry who had been with Lite forever. On a lark I went to linkedin. Sure enough his status had been altered from 1984-present at WLTW to 1984-February 2011. It made headlines when Karen Carson left but I think this departure is bigger. The final Lite veteran done with the station. His retirement well-earned.
 
I remember in the late 70s or early 80s Herb Barry worked at WYNY when it was an AC station at 97.1 on the FM dial. He certainly had a long career in radio. I wish him well in his retirement.

This is the second longtime radio employee working for Clear Channel to depart within the last year... though, unlike Jonathan Bell from Z-100, it appears Barry's leaving is voluntary.
