Listening to John Depetro this morning It was good to hear his in studio interview with former projo media writer and local talk host John Martin and later the interview with Steve Kass who were promoting events on their current agendas. You could tell they miss having regular radio jobs. This got me to thinking what could lie in the future for WPRO&99.7FM. With expanded local programing getting bigger next week this could take it higher with more variety. First of all get rid of hot 106 and put the true oldies format there. Make 790 the home of national talk and WPRO 20 hours a day of local programming. The following would have to happen ,CC sells WHJJ and a format change to foreign language ,religion or brokered programming frees up national talkers. I have a feeling with his filling in on WTTK Dan Yorke will eventually settle there. If that happens this could happen. WPRO 5-9 Ron St. Pierre with the morning news, 9-12 Steve Kass,12-3 Buddy on his own. 3-7 John Depetro .7-9 John Martin,9-1 Matt Allen.1-5 Coast to Coast. AM 790 lineup, 6-10 Imus,10-12 Laura Ingram, 12-3 Rush,3-6 Hannity,6-9 Savage 9-10 Savage encore, 10-2 Jim Bohannon with 1st hour encore and Jerry Doyle 2-6 also 1st hour encore. This is done in other markets with more powerfull station in cluster with the local and the other AM talker all national

Who is John Martin?There is a lot of ill feelings to John from the days of being the Pro-Jo media writer and a lot of cheap shots he took toward a number of people on the Trail who are still there (and unwarranted). I won't detail them all (too many to list); but have a feeling the Ghetto plex feels the same...he burned a ton of people during that time w/ a lot of unflattering stories and inaccurate portrayal of the ratings numbers because he always used AQH vs share
agree with you wknd. Martin was never a good host. He was an on air Snob. Martin made plenty of enemys.
Martin - Pro Jo bully. As for Kass, he's in his 70s. He sounded tired before he left Wpro. Buddy is in his 70s too. Buddy won't work alone either.Yorke is staying at Wpro. I can see Buddy getting bored and leaving in a year or two, but I think things stay the same at Wpro.
I used to think allot of Laura Ingraham UNTIL, Rush Limbaughs Operation Chaos. For the last 2 months all Lauras done is Parrot Rush. Parrot Bill O'rielly. Savage is the only national host worth the listen. hey, its my two cents! enjoy.

J. D. didn't let poor Kass get two words in edgewise. The interview with Martin was a trifle better. NOT MUCH!!! John is so involved with himself that he takes over the whole interview and just keeps up his stupid schtick.

What was the point of Kass going on Depetro's show?
Depetro used to BASH Kass! " The old Fool" " The Dinosaur" " Is the Dinosaur still sipping
his soup?" " Retire old man, you lost it 10 years ago." Kass should have punched him, for that low class
song demeaning Kass. Would have given Depetro credit , if he Apologized to Kass for years of ball busting
and disrespect.

When it comes to bad blood, past sins, ill feelings, I just have to wonder if there are any such things as burned bridges anymore. I'm not making any value judgements or questioning hiring, but DePetro showed up at a WPRO remote & disrupted it, then was later hired by the station. We see stories about people refusing to sit in the same chairs others sat in. Rivalries of the past are tame compared to what goes on today & I think it's just a sign of the times we're living in & not confined to radio. People display their eccentricities & strange behavior like they're assets & the public eats it up & looks at outrageous behavior as the norm. I don't think you can say anyone wouldn't be hired because of what's happened in the past.
