One of the news items right here on R.I. is about a Houston Hip Hop and R&B station that is being sued by a local Rapper who wants a judge or whomever to rule that the station has to play his music, as he says he was "banned" from the airwaves on that station. The initial verdict was the right one, that the station doesn't have to "do business with or advertize for someone they don't want to be involved with". However, the article mentions that the whole thing goes to court in August. If any one of the three branches of government, whether local, state or national, can force a radio station to play something they don't want to play - if looked at more broadly, that would be a serious attack on freedom, in my opinion.
