POWER 100.3 is now "I-100 MYRTLE BEACH'S HOTTEST HITS"

How will this time be any different? Surprise they didn't just call it Hot 100 again. Wonder who will do mornings. Ace and TJ out of Charlotte, NC like before ;D

The Bert Show out of ATL at Q100 maybe?????

100.3 should have gone AC. That's the biggest void in the market.
I see 92.1 considered AC sometimes....they aren't. They're more Adult CHR.

But for some reason Yes 94.5 didn't make it.

I've never understood Star. If they don't turn down the volume soon we might lose WEZV. They're already trying to convince people they're soft AC and Arbitron lists it that way, but that's ludicrous.

If 100.3 went AC then Cumulus would have to do something to Sunny 103.1 which is somewhat AC. As for Star 92.1 they are Hot AC, and now Myrtle Beach has two CHR's again. With Mix 97.7 having the power as they are well known and with the much stroger signal. One of the reasons Hot 100 didn't fair well. So how is i 100 any different?

It's not. This is Ludacris.

It sure is. Cumulus is foolish and doesn't know how to do radio. Only reason I bet their CHR is because Cumulus is putting their CHR (i) stations in other markets such as Dallas, Indy, etc.

Cumulus should of done this, it doesn't take a sicentist.

100.3 should be ESPN The Team and Cumulus should just shut down 93.7 and 93.9 as their just a waste of FM space that cover a small area.
blow up 98.5 which they seem to be doing, but their keeping the KISS-FM name.
I'd call it Wild 98.5 Hits and Hip Hop

As for 106.5 The Coyote it stays the same as does 103.1 Sunny

Except for the fact that WEZV sounds the same as WJXY-AM once did, I'd say switch 93.7 and 93.9 to the WJXY-AM format from 1995-2001. The FM stations were doing hip-hop around 1999.

Actually, aren't they doing The Team on 1050 too? Except for a problem at night, that's all they need.

I am sure the "I" brand for MYB will have the same playlist as the other I stations have IE plenty of Rob Thomas and more of an Adult CHR lean, but not enough that it would hurt 92.1... CC1

I am GLAD to see Myrtle Beach get a REAL Hit Radio Station! Star 92.1 is a GREAT at work station! Now, with I-100 Myrtle Beach has a "REAL" Hit Radio Station! Folks on the GRAND STRAND are fortunate! Not having to listen to the "MICKEY MOUSE" one it has been forced to! "I-100 Mrytle Beach's Hottest Hits"!

i am not sure what you are getting at here but for your information, you can't really compare star 92.1 to a top 40 station because they are 2 different formats. yes, i will agree that star plays great music but so does 104.9 BOB FM as well as quite a few other stations in the myrtle beach area. as for myrtle beach not having a hottest hits station, i think that Mix 97.7 has tried pretty hard to do as much as possible to play the hottest hits and if you have looked at the latest ratings, all of the Qantum Stations BLEW Cumulus out of the water. i think the I-100 is only being put in myrtle beach because they have realized that they couldn't have both KISS 98.5 and Power 100 because they were too similar.. i will be curious to see what the next ratings book will look like so you are so sure that I-100 will be the answer to all of myrtle beach's radio problems..

Must be one of the "PD" of MIX 97.7 "BUDDIES"! I know I-100 will kick "BUTT"! I know Star 92.1 does as they have one of the industry's best programming minds leading them in Bill Catcher! Nice to know one can get easily rattled by a simple observation. Then again with I-100 providing Myrtle Beach with "REAL" CHR, I bet that isn't the only thing rattling the cages over at the "other" station!

Coming soon to a payphone at a GREYHOUND BUS TERMINAL near the "GRAND STRAND"! LOL!

What jingle package are they using on I-100?

just saw the latest 12+ numbers and both KISS and POWER were tied 5.4. Wonder if the new 'i' can top that?

I don't think i 100 will top that. Now seeing those ratings I ask how couldn't Cumulus handle both Urban AC 98.5 KISS FM and Urban Power 100.3 it gave both listeners choice. But overall with the both stations coming together KISS FM has been playing great music in certain parts.

As for i 100 what a joke leave Top 40 to Mix 97.7, better signal and no static unlike 100.3. Its just a Hot 100 all over again.

Looks like Ken needs to get the wax out of his ears! i-100 clearly has a superior audio processing as opposed to the Mix. As to the ratings, I guess time will reveal that. Personally, I don't think "i" sounds anything like the old Hot 100. The imaging on the station sounds a lot more ballsy than the old "Hot". Other than some repetive songs, I think the i sounds better than mix. But Ken is apparently a "know it all" for Myrtle Beach radio. JMHO.

Wow some people don't have respect. Maybe radiokingsc works for Cumulus Myrtle Beach. Anyways Im just saying when I listen to 100.3 when it was Power and now as i, they get static in parts heading south towards Pawleys Island and are sometimes off the air. Also when does i plan on getting djs other then Kosmo who used to work for Mix 97.7 ?

Oh, Ken, I think a simple look back at some folks' posts and the station(s) they were pumping up (here) at that particular moment in their career and figure out who's who, don't you?

Folks' who use presumptuous screennames and pretend to be just an "interested bystanding observer," to me, are a bit 'off.' Nobody won a single audience share on these boards, best as I can recall.
