Word has it Riviera bought the intellectual property for Power 92 from Bonneville. Looks like the previous edge discussion is all for not.

I can't wait to see what the State Press and similar kiddie publications do when this hits. They boo-hooed when FreeFM flipped and this will make their 30-watter the only alt rocker in the Valley. Then again, I thought they all had ipods and radio was dead anyway... the twenty-some hours a week 18-34 year olds spent listening in the last book must be a moot point.

Ok this make it interesting because then there is an alternative void in the market. Do you think of of the rockers, 93.3, 97.9, 100.7 would switch to alternative? Also, Chuck and Vince would be FREE to go to FREE FM for nights ;-)

Re: Power 98.3

I don't know if 98.3 will be ready on Towers Mountain before Bonneville takes over 92.3. KQSS in Globe/Miami still needs to make their move to 101.9 before they can flip the switch, and construction has yet to be commenced on that project (unless Bill Taylor or Rich from KRDE knows something I don't).Besides, I thought KKLD was being sold to Sunburst Media, and not Riviera.

Never claimed to be "in the know". Just restated what I had heard from others. Thanks for clearing it up. BTW, how come nobody has ever mentioned that Riviera owns 98.3 and is moving it into town? What kind of coverage will this signal have? Where's the tower going to be located?

See Reply #4 above. Use 97.5 and 95.1 as a comparison. ;)
