Power 105 and Lite 106.7 dead air

1 tv transmitter (with 4 hd channels) 2 FMs (us and a religious translator) and no AM's audible during the day. About the only thing to remain on out of all of that in a power outage would be us.

Some State Police might still have a CB to communicate with truckers in their cars. Channel 9 is the emergency channel. 19 is the truckers channel. I am not familiar with Ham but sometimes they can use "skip" to get out amazing distances.

Out here, we actually have 911.. it goes to dispatch in fairbanks who answers 24/7 and then they call (phone) the fire or medical out here or our state trooper (no police)

We used to have it where youd call 524 0911, press 1 for medical, 2 for police... you press, it goes silent and clicks briefly then someone on a handheld answers in town somewhere. (524 0911 was still in use until mid 2021)

if all goes to hell, we have handheld radios and talk on channel 16
