Power 106.1 is ON

I was told the signal covers the urban areas in Duval really good. I think Cox is basically trying to knock 93.3 THE BEAT down a bit, not trying to be #1.

Ding! Ding! Ding! You are correct! You're the Winner! Be sure to pick up your prize during normal business hours M-F. :D

Here I thought OUR 106.1 did a flip, airing the same thing as 104.1

Look at WPYO a COX station in Orlando. It doesn't have half the coverage as WJHM (CBS) does and it kills them in the ratings everytime.

WPYO is still a C3 with the equiv of 25kW at 330'. They may not cover outlying cities like Daytona or Titusville, but they have a better signal in the core metro that WJHM. That's a bit more of a fair fight than it looks on paper. In Jax, it's 250W vs 100kW. The best it can be is a spoiler, knocking a point or two off the top dog.

With the addition of Rickey Smiley in the mornings they have a good chance at knocking The Beat down some. Steve Harvey on THE BEAT is for an Urban AC audience and POWER's sweepers are attacking Harvey already.
