Power 106.7 nearly ready to launch

According to credible sources at Cox-San Antonio, they are nearly ready to launch Power 106.7. This will finally put a bullet into Z106.7. Power will be modeled after WPYO in Orlando and WBTS in Atlanta. Total overhaul is coming.
 
Wonder if another hiphop channel will really work.
 
Doesnt sound really impressive to me I looked at one of the last played on the other radio stations, looks more like what the beat use to do with a shorter playlist. but who knows.

im just saying that because 102.7 in Smithville is called Power, which plays Christian hip hop.

I still dont see how that station came on, I can no longer recieve Jack in my car, but can at home they sure are pumping out a lot of power for a LP station.

I have no problem with this station in any means, just wish they would of picked out a dead frequency like 92.3 or 91.9 or something besides 102.7, even 102.9 wouldnt of effect jack.
 
Okay the holiday came and went and still no flip. I guess the reliable source wasnt so reliable.
 
Well I'm about to get Sirius, just baught my reciever this morrning, probably will acivate it this month, I dont know how much longer I can take only having a daytime powered sports station and the rest all the same!

to all the cox critics.....z is a flanker...and will always be... its there to ensure cox radio gets a share of the kids, teens, and young adults.....as for the old 1067jamz.....foolish they were great in the clubs and at mitsubishi but other than that advertisers did not want to buy the format...cool doesnt equal $$$$...ratings equal $$$$$

to the beat critics....yes the beat is ghetto and whack and plays everything 50 times a day...unfortunately in sa....they are the best. as for appealing in person...i wish body solutions was around to help them

as for money, miller kaplan shows z sales is making money....not a whole lot but they seem to be benifiting from cluster buys, nationals, the beat oversold, the mixs 30 sec spots

and finally....some of you need to do some research or ask a veteran before you post your bull!@#$ opinions.
being a board op at your station does not make you a radio expert. when you work your way up to the higher echelons of radio you will understand what corp radio is about. if you dont like it....go buy your own radio station or go somewhere were they will respect your ill manned in expierienced opinion..or eveen better do your own show on am radio in the middle of the night..corp radio is going no where.

by the way... that means you rfradiosa(mr board op)

too bad you made general comments about how bad z was like you always did. you cannot handle the fact the someone else had info that you didn't. buy a clue before making 2 page responses.

remember how you quoted z's miller kaplan and how they were "making money." they never made squat on that station. another example of you making comments you weren't qualified to make.

now spout off about how great you are. defend yourself. not only do i know what you post before you actually make the post, but it's easy to be prepared for comments that have no basis coming from you.
