They should bring back Tha Goodfellas & Tito and Mr. Choc. They made my afternoons back in the late 90's & Early 2000's. I miss Tito's Top 4@4.

I doubt they will return time for a new era and new dj's to shine
That's true. Heck they should hire me eventhough I don't have any on air experience. Just kidding LOL :D. Power 106 more in my scene.

Aye I'm all in for it. If anyone know the time shifts they looking for I can get down with working in L.A. ...I can also mix (to a certain extent)....so it's a win-win in that situation

This will explain why DJ Felli Fel has been doing Eric D-Lux's afternoons 3pm-7pm and Mando Fresko and other Power Mixers have been taking over DJ Felli Fel's spot from 7pm-12am. Power did not announce at all that he would be leaving, plus Eric D-Lux's twitter account still says he is a DJ at Power 106, so I assumed he was on a long vacation or something. I will miss Eric D-Lux in the afternoons, but it's good that he's going off to better things.

It was annouce on allaccess a few months ago. I remeber reading the article but didnt pay too much attention to it. They didnt even annouce their 25th anniversary on air. Neither did they announce Tatto leaving. Im sure Mando is happy working graveyard is hard even if you love your job.

I think Tattoo was let go because of budget cuts. I agree with the Mando comment, it must be a relief to work earlier in the evening. Although Power 106 has the opportunity up, I do believe that the spot will end up going to one of the current Power mixers. Just-N-Credible seems like a great choice to me, he definitely has the on-air presence and mixing skills. DJ Vick One seems to be a great choice too, but I don't know if he would use his "accent" on-air or opt for his regular voice.

More than likely that will happen. One of the weekenders will get the shift which I think is fair to them. They just hired a new parttimer for weekends I dont know the girl's name but at first I thought it was Yesi. The last time I remeber Power having a female weekend dj was Nena but she took the night shift at Movin a few years back. Emmis is just posting the opening under EEO policy

I don't remember Nena. The only female DJ I remember on Power 106 back in the day was this chick name Khool Aid. She did middays in the early 2000's before Yesi Ortiz came along. They can hire whoever they want just stay away from playing Lady Gaga or Ke$ha in high rotation. Those were Power 106's worst days in my book because they used to go from Hip Hop & R&B currents by Lil' Jon, Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, Drake, Usher, T-Pain,etc to Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and Katy Perry.

Nena was there for a short while doing weekends and fill ins. Once Movin signed on she moved overthere for the 7-12 shift. Yesi Ortz started off as a weekend dj at KPWR.

Nena never worked at Power on the air...I just asked her to make sure. She was a street teamer in the 90's though. On the air in SD at Jammin Z90 on the weekends, KOKO 94 (one of Art Laboes stations upstate), and in LA...fill ins on The Beat, and nights at Movin.

I think Power's failure to mention their 25th anniversary is like MTV not acknowledging their 30th birthday. Its hard to be perceived as the station in town that is new, fresh and now and playing all your favorite dance/hip hop/electro/rhythmic favorites of the day when you're older than some or most of your audience. Heritage means nothing to a 20 year old.

I guess I misread her profile on the old Movin site and laradio.com. My fault but I should figured it out when it said stints at KPWR KKBT KOKO etc......

A great woman that was on Power 106 was Brenda Ross.On air personality on Power would need to throw some great personality on air..Old School show with The Boomer!!

Not going to happen. These are a new generation of Power listeners, and they want personalities that they can relate to TODAY, not 25 years ago.

Her name is Letty although she goes by "Rikki" on the air. She was an intern over at KXOL a couple of years ago and I think she was on the air in Palm Springs recently.
