Power 106's Playlist for March 5, 1996

Among the songs found on Power 106 in L.A.'s Playlist were Lina Santiago's Feels So Good, LL Cool J Featuring Boyz II Men Hey Lover, L.A.D's Ridin Low, Tha Dogg Pound Let's Play House & New York, New York, 2Pac's California Love, LBC Crew's Beware Of My Crew, Frost's La Familia, Groove Theory's Tell Me and B-Code's Feel Good. In 1995-96 they had more of a variety of R&B, Hip Hop & House if ask me. This was before they revamped to urban contemporary in 1997.

was 92.3 the beat an urban or a rhythmic ?
@mike 92.3 The Beat was billed as urban at that time Power 106 was at time Top 40/Rhythmic but trying to go against "The Beat" at that time in March 1996. In 1995-96 a Rhythmic Top 40 station was worth listening to, I have Groove Theory's Tell Me on my iPhone everyone of those hits that "The Beat", Power 106 and KJLH spun at that time except for the dance tracks. Power 106 very listenable on March 5, 1996 IMO. It's something similar to the formula they have now. Great job Power 106.
