POWER 1490 MOVIE TRAILER...PLEASE WATCH!

R

R Dub!

The trailer is up: www.power1490.com

You can also RSVP on the website as well. You're invited, the premiere is free. I hope anyone who has ever worked in Tucson radio can be there. I think you'll enjoy the film, plus it will be nice to get everyone together in the same room!

See you there.

Very interesting! I never thought hip-hop radio would've started in Tucson!

It didn't. 1490 was the early adopter in Tucson, not nationally.

And there is some pure advertising going on in that trailer. No way did 1490 ever have the following that KTKT did in it's prime (when Tucson was a much smaller place). I even question that it would have exceeded KRQQ (although I didn't listen to KRQ or hip-hop 1490).

I know we did beat KRQ in Teens...and that was the station's goal...and we all celebrated like we won the Olympics when that happened.

But the film is less about ratings "facts," and more about the "heart" that the station had, and the passion from inside the building and how listeners were affected. I think it'll be a fun film to see, for anyone who's ever been in radio; at least that was my intention.

I hope you can make it to the show!
