Power 93.3

So, we're now almost 4 months out from the major changes at iHeart Media, and what's going on? I would have expected Power to be making major inroads against Movin, but it doesn't appear that's happening.

Please explain what makes you say you "expected" Power to make "major inroads" after 4 months. If you're looking at "beauty contest" numbers Movin's been in decline since January - 7.7, 7.6, 6.9 and now 6.0. Sure looks like "major inroads".

Well, I didn't expect Movin to stay that high anyway. What I expected is Power to at the very least go 2.8, 3.1, 3.5, 3.9 or something like that, but was kind of expecting a dramatic turn-around, going 2.8, 4.1, 4.9, 5.3 or something similar. Granted, is it too soon to expect a huge change in the ratings?

I bet you if you walk in downtown Seattle and ask 100 people what the name of the radio station at 93.3, the vast majority will still say KUBE or KUBE 93.

Which is also the answer you get if you take a random sample of 100 people pretty much anywhere in Western Washington on what station is on 93.3.

You're probably right. I wonder how many people still think 104.9 is the Funky Monkey?

Ok, you're probably right about that, but I told a couple of my classmates about the changes only a couple hours after they happened and one of them recognized the Monkey. You're right though, I'm sure he was the exception for someone up here in the north end.
