Power 96-1 Does Creative Promotion

They call the station Power 96-1 and are smartly playing 9,600 songs in a row instead of the usual 10,000.

And behind the scenes, the station teamed up with the Department of Labor. This morning, the DOL reported that 96,000 jobs were created in July. Very clever, Power 96-1!
 
Power 96.1 does have a strong signal, as it makes it all the way into Anderson County, SC when travelling north up I85. Then it is taken over by CC CHR Channel 96.1 from Charlotte, which also has a strong signal. And Q100 makes it that far as well, but 97.1 The River makes it almost to Greenville. In fact, years ago, the 97.1 signal from Atlanta did make it into Greenville. But they changed the signal pattern somewhere, and now there is a sports station in Spartanburg on that same frequency.
