Power 96.... 4:33pm eastern.. regular rotation... The Real McCoy - Another Night

Im at work and listening to power 96's live stream and im shocked as 2 what im hearing.. I mean i know theyve been giving dance a spin but for them to go this far back...

Hip Hop.. Dance.. is the old wpow gonna be back full swing in 08??

Shocking!! Great catch! Let's hope they add some recurrents from 2000+. Recurrents such as "As The Rush Comes" by Motorcycle would compliment their sound very nicely. Now if they start playing Fragma, Fiori, K5, Robin Fox, Science, or any of the other songs that were popular on Power and 953-Party a few years back I might have a seizure!

Re: Power 96.... 4:33pm eastern.. regular rotation... The Real McCoy - Another N

Science's "Masquerade" was huge in Tampa and Orlando in the clubs and on stations like 93-3 FLZ, Wild 98.7, and 95.3 Party. It was a minor hit in South FL, though it did receive some spins from Y-100 and Wild 95.5.
Robin Fox "I See Stars" on the other hand was HUGE on Power 96, and we all know that "As The Rush Comes" was in power rotation on Party 93.1 for nearly a year(!!).

Thanks for clearing up my fuzzy memory, CHRles! Power never seemed to embrace the florida breakz subgenre which was prevalent over on Party and FLZ's mixshows (it still is to this day, along with the mixshows on Tallahassee's Hot 104-9 and Gainesville's Kiss 105-3).

Party 95.3 Orlando did play alot of breaks,,,, Party 93.1 didnt play near as much, but played some.
