This station is really dancing it up lately with Deadmou5e-Ghosts n stuff, La Roux-Bulletproof, and cross over stuff like Guetta Sexy chick, and Taio Cruz in rotation, plus their mixshows are now very dance friendly as well, and they have an after hours mixshow with all dance now.. Big ups to power 96.. I heard they have Cascada Evacuate the dancefloor in low rotation, but I have not heard them play it yet. Deadmou5e is currently in their top 3, so obviously their audience warms up to dance,, and not just the urban dance stuff. looks like they are headed for a B-96 Chicago type sound, which is a very dance friendly rhythmic now, especially on mixshows,, back in 2007 both these stations where nearly pure urban.
 
Now their playing the dane mix of its my birthday, and they played a song called Sweat from Little Jon earlier, and it was definately dancy,
 
Looks like Power is playing an afterhours mixshow begining at ten to midnight, and its dance heavy.. Didnt they used to do this way back in the day? It may not be a dance station, but its alot better than having no station at all play dance.. In my area I only get dance on the Friday and Saturday Vibe on Radio Now 100.9,, which is good, but id like to see them add a mixshow at noon and a 5 o clock traffic jam,, but at least B-97 plays dance every day for the 5 o clock road rage.. Also our new I-94 Cumulous CHR is adding a new mixshow, so we will see how dancy it is next week. Im guessing the other I stations from Cumulous will add mixshows too. I hope its not just pop and hip hop like Saturday night Q in Atlanta.. A-Town has no dance even on weekends, which surprises me. Q used to be a very dance leaning CHR when Susquana owned them and they were on 100.5,, they had weekend dance shows,, they had Cardio radio at noon, and If im not mistaken they had a 5 o clock 20 minute quick mix as well.
 
So this means they got rid of the slow jamz and dedication show now? GOOD! I've been waiting for them to drop that and.. well, do something else instead! Other than that, it's (one of) my favorite rhythmics - I always brag about them as being what a role model rhythmic should be across the U.S. in various sections of this board. I did notice they added Ghosts N Stuff but never bothered to mention it because it really doesn't excite me anymore. I expect that from them now. The level of what it takes to impress me has been raised a bit due to many things that have been going on lately. Besides, WPOW had Kaskade in rotation for a long time now, so not much impresses me with them. I guess I'll start listening a bit more again because it's been a while since I actually tuned in to a mixshow or listened to the station.
