That is true, almost ALL businesses had either Wave 104 or WNMB, and Joy 92 sometimes, on all the time. Thank goodness businesses do not get ratings books, we had all the 12 to 34 year-olds at home and in the car listening to Power 98.
Power 98 was an amazing station in the late 80's/early 90's. It was like being at a nightclub without leaving your house or car. Wave 104 was a good station, but due to the fact how well Power 98 sounded it really made Wave 104 step it's game up as well which for it's day really made TOP 40 radio fun for the MYB. All the elements were in place which really made Power tight sounding from the processing to the liners from Mitch Craig to the music...
