Power 99 alumli passes

Since I graduated in 1991 my high school years included Power 99 for my hit music as Z 93 went away in January 1989 and Domino was a great DJ to listen to as Power was just killing it. Since 99.7 spent about 16 years as Alt Rock 99X and returned to CHR in 2008. Domino ended up in DFW, NYC and LA after spending the late 80s at Power 99. In 2010 he joined a oldies then classic hits station in Orlando where is stayed until his death.

Domino was a great Top 40 nighttime jock. I heard him on WPLJ/New York and on an aircheck from Power 99. Rick Stacy, who had worked with Domino in Atlanta, offered Domino a job upon being named PD of Sunny FM 105.9 in Orlando, a Classic Hits station. I thought Domino adapted really well, and that it was a perfect place for him after aging out of the CHR demo. I heard him on Sunny not long ago.

So sad for him to die at such a young age.

My thoughts, prayers and heart goes out to Zoe. Know this, your dad was an amazing voice that was our soundtrack for many of us in Atlanta and other cities where he energized the airwaves. He left us way to soon. Rest in peace.
