none of us should be playin justin timberlake in san antonio. We r hip hop not pop. I am telling ppl all over our station dat we shouldn't be playin timberlake. But we #1 so we must be doing something write.

Yup. You've managed to consistently win the 12+ beauty contest with no competition by playing hip-hop in a market that's 57% black & Hispanic.

Quite an accomplishment!

Wanna know what's funny about that? I'd bet almost anything the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place stations outbill you by a wide margin. Ever wonder why you had no competition?

And Hamm, you're starting to look really, really dumb. Check back over the last few posts if you want to know who I am.

From your spelling and language skills, I realize that's probably a real chore so I'll just make it easy for you. I was Tino's PD in Lubbock - at the first station - where we went from sign-on to a 10.1 share 12+ in one book and to a 10.6 share in under a year with a stick 34 miles out of town and no building penetration.

Crap... Just realized who I'm talking to - gotta make this real simple - when I say our tower was way outta town and we had no building penetration, I mean our signal was really weak.

Of course, the competition had 100,000 watts right on the edge of town. Didn't save them - 13.5 to 6.1 in one year.
