An interesting article from 2010...from Dave Hatfield, an interesting quote:

"But the apparent departure of KEVT takes away the oldest call letters in the market associated with Spanish radio. Tucson’s first station to use the call letters — and first Spanish station in the market — signed on in September 1953 at 690-AM."
